So many fun things tonight wow.
However, I do not yet feel I can mark myself safe from Matty Healy.
This made be laugh:
in a world where women empowerment is the thing. especially post barbie era. it's disappointing to see one of the most powerful women in the world succumb to a man for hype because he was persistent in trying with her. what kind of message is that? younger pop idols like billie eilish and olivia rodrigo are much more open with their possible gayness, without denials or having to hide behind *from a man's perspective*. they still achieve the numbers and sales. then there's taylor, doing another old PR tactic.
maybe it was never about hiding or scared that people won't accept her, but it's more she just can't get enough of the fame. she doesn't want to step down. she doesn't want to live her truth in exchange for not being on top. she isn't choosing her karlie again and again. she's just always gonna be like that huh? so disappointed. 1989 era was supposed to be the women empowerment era!
I keep rewatching the mastermind performance over and over again and it’s so loud because Taylors telling this story with her whole chest. It’s interesting to pay attention to the movements that are happening. She’s playing puppet master with the ‘playthings for her to use’. They follow her every command. All the pieces fall right into place/dominoes cascading in a line because it was all her doing… the mastermind. None of it was accidental, don’t you love that? The metaphor of it all.

Take me to the lakes where all the poets went to die. I don’t belong, and my beloved, neither do you.
Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry. I’m setting off, but not without my muse.
I want auroras and sad prose. I want to watch wisteria grow right over my bare feet, ‘cause I haven't moved in years. And I want you right here.
A red rose grew up out of ice frozen ground with no one around to tweet it. I bathe in cliffside pools with my calamitous love and insurmountable grief.
Take me to the lakes, where all the poets went to die. I don't belong, and my beloved, neither do you. Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry. I’m settin' off, but not without my muse.
No, not without you🖤
Kinda obsessed with how you can hear the rain
🚨 repost! reblog! retweet!!!! 🚨
#louder for the people in the back 📢
Just giggling about the double standard between Taylor and Karlie. Karlie is expected to uphold insane standards and expectations especially when it comes to being associated with toxic men. But Taylor is just having fun and being silly it’s all a part of her journey. It’s just funny.
Meet me at midnight…
…for the Lavender Haze music video premiere (!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
taylor.lnk.to/lavenderhazemusicvideo
sometimes i think people on the fence should ask themselves, what’s stopping you from seeing how possible kaylor is? if the answer is that it would mean taylor won’t come out in the way you’d hoped or that she’s not dating the way that you’d like or the person that you’d like, or it conflicts with your internet friendships or Take consistency well i dunno about everybody else but i think that’s more of a you problem than a kaylor problem
The colors for August. 😂 🌈
Caught the last part of it 🌈🌈🌈
The Gold / Invisible String in Bejeweled mv?
Ok i got to re-watching Bejeweled to start my weekend, and idk if this is intentional but i love how when the prince's portrait was shown, a white thread (not gold/yellow) was also in the shot:
Which is the contrast to the (golden) invisible string string shown in Willow, which ofc we already know had a callback here at the beginning of the Bejeweled music video:
The "Gold" that she followed here was when the golden pocket watch appeared in front of her. "Exile expires in 3.. 2.." leading to a Golden elevator, which takes her to each floor, different eras. (Eras tour egg? also does this mean speak now will be released before the tour..)
On her journey after following the "Gold" she stops at the 5th floor (1989 era / 2014) and meets a woman.. (which also reminds me of the fishbowl scene/blue room in the lover house)
As already mentioned by people before, the scene with the cocktail drinks, might be a callback to Delicate's lyrics:
This ain't for the best / My reputation's never been worse, so / You must like me for me / We can't make any promises / Now can we, babe? / But you can make me a drink
Oh, damn, never seen that color blue
But let's not forget that Delicate also connects to Invisible string's lyric!
Delicate (2017):
Dive bar on the East Side, where you at? / Phone lights up my nightstand in the black / Come here; you can meet me in the back
Invisible String (2020):
A string that pulled me / Out of all the wrong arms right into that dive bar / Something wrapped all of my past mistakes in barbed wire / Chains around my demons, wool to brave the seasons / One single thread of gold tied me to you
So yeah, to summarize, she met her "Gold" / Invisible String at a Delicate time during the (pre) 1989 era?
