OH, THE QUEEN OF PEACE ALWAYS DOES HER BEST TO PLEASE — is it any use? somebody's gotta lose. like a long scream; out there, always echoing. oh, what is it worth? all that's left is hurt.
GWAHREN - private & selective blog for elethea cousland ii, hero of ferelden, teyrna of gwaren. written by nan (23, she/her)
Yes, Elethea was trained to fight from an early age (I imagine her martial training started when she was about 12-13) but it was always the graceful, noble type of fighting. It involved a lot of proper forms, precision, and whatnot. But the fighting Elethea actually winds up doing during the Blight is ugly and violent. It is closer to berserker/barbarian style fighting, she screams and growls, making dirty moves, and biting when she has to. And she loves it, she loves the power it gives her, especially in a time when she has been made to feel utterly powerless, with every choice taken from her. She loves killing, and that's the problem.

Elethea only knows how maps work in an Academic sense. She's very good at geography, of course, it's one of the things that was hammered into her, but actually navigating a map in practice during the Blight is something of a pitfall for her. A lot of aspects of applying her academic knowledge into real-life skills are challenging for her.
STARKHVN. The demon didn't lie. I used to be bitterly jealous of my brother. I wanted to be prince. Now everything he had is mine, and he lies in ashes. I keep asking myself: do I want this because it's right or simply to have what I never thought I could? // Sebastian Vael, Independent & Canon Divergent, Written by Holly ©
