Dia 2 de outubro de 1992 aconteceu o maior massacre por policiais no sistema carcerário brasileiro, resultando em 111 mortes registradas ( o número de mortes são bem maiores , mas teve muitas não registradas )
O massacre aconteceu a 26 anos ,no pavilhão 9 do Carandiru
De 100 % dos detentos 80% está no presídio pela segunda vez ou mais , apenas 20% são réus primários . É a prova que o sistema carcerário brasileiro é uma falência , o que era pra ser um lugar de reabilitação/ressocialização , é na verdade uma casa de tortura e humilhação resultando na revolta que faz com que a maioria que passa por lá volte a cometer crime .
O que aconteceu no Carandiru foi uma chacina , pena de morte em massa .
Um detento chamado Robert Drew condenado à pena de morte por assasinato em 1994 , disse em suas últimas palavras antes da injeção letal “ lembrem-se , a pena de morte também é um assasinato ”

Mais de quarenta crianças dormiam nas
escadas da igreja do candelária no Rio de Janeiro , oito delas morreram e dezesseis saíram gravemente feridos .
Três vítimas foram mortas enquanto dormiam, atacadas covardemente
A chacina foi executada por três filha da putas comedores de carniças que foram condenados a 200 anos de reclusão , mas não cumpriram nem 20 ; beneficiados pela progressão de regime . (Que só funciona pra quem comete crimes de terno e gravata ) .
Wagner dos santos vítima sobrevivente do ataque ficou internado com uma bala alojada na cabeça . Wagner ajudou a reconhecer os covardes responsáveis descrevendo cada um deles .
A chacina foi repercutida internacionalmente
Após o acontecido , em homenagem às vítimas foi erguida uma cruz no jardim da igreja com o nome dos oito finados :
Gambazinho , Marcelo , Marcos , Paulo Silva , Paulo oliveira , Anderson , Leandro e valdevino . Quem todos estejam em paz

In Rio de Janeiro, Malala Yousafzai graffitis a picture of Marielle Franco, a black and bisexual Brazilian politician, feminist, and human rights activist who was brutally assassinated four months ago.
Marielle had fiercely criticised police killings in the Rio favelas where she grew up and took part in a 2008 state legislature inquiry into the paramilitary gangs that dominate large areas of Rio state. Know as “militias”, these groups often include police officers.
“In the Marielle case there are strong indications of the involvement of state and security agents,” Renata Neder, a research and policy coordinator for Amnesty International Brazil, told reporters, citing local media reports.
Brazilian media have reported that ammunition used in Franco’s killing was restricted calibre taken from a federal police supply, and that six Heckler & Koch MP5 sub-machines – believed to be the murder weapon – have disappeared from police arsenals since 2011.
“I know she inspired many Brazilian women and girls and I know they will carry her legacy forward,” Yousafzai said.

I wont post/reblog about anything else today.
Make no mistake, Marielle Franco was EXECUTED by the same government that kills thousands of people on the favelas here in Brazil everyday. It was not an accident as they try to claim, this was war and has been war for the past 4 years.
Marielle Franco stood up for women’s rights, for the poc and the lgbt+ community. She spoke against police brutality less than five days before she was killed.
Little by little, the government is taking away our rights. They are shutting our voices and shooting us down.
They are killing us, one by one.

Slain black councilwoman remembered during Brazil Carnival
Samba competition is taking on a political edge in Brazil, with one of Rio’s top samba schools and other groups paying tribute to Marielle Franco, an activist for gays and Afro-Brazilian rights who was slain almost a year ago.
Mangueira, one of the oldest samba schools in Rio, included the former city councilwoman in its parade early Tuesday honoring Brazil’s hidden heroes, those who history books often forget or choose not to mention.
Franco and her driver, Anderson Gomes, were shot to death in their car while driving in downtown Rio on March 14, 2018. The killings shocked Brazilians and set off a wave of national demonstrations, but police have never named suspects.
“It has been a year since the incident,” Luyara Franco, Marielle’s daughter, told The Associated Press hours before Mangueira was to perform. “This Carnival full of tributes stresses we are still in this fight. The case has not been solved.”
