Nightmare (Pedro Pascal x Daughter)

summary: you’re at your aunts house and you hadn’t a good day at school, and its really bothering you. Your dad, Pedro Pascal, is an event and doesn’t know anything of what happened. You go to bed and have a bad nightmare, but when you wake up, your dad is there to comfort you.

You’re at your Aunts Javiera’s house and watching TV with your two cousins, Pedro, and Bruno. “Es mi personaje favorito de la serie.” (He’s my favorite character of this series), Bruno says while being focused on the TV. Suddenly Pedro and Bruno start arguing about who the best character is, but you’re just in your own thoughts, thinking about your presentation you had to do in school today.

“T-the French R-Revolution began…- uh…”, you stuttered, and your hands began to shake. Everyone was looking at you, everyone. “When did it begun huh? Stop stuttering!”, one of your classmates shouted into the classroom. “It began… b-began..”, you couldn’t stop stuttering and started gasping for air. The feeling that everyone stared at you, let you feel so much more uncomfortable, and you started to panic even more.”, finally your teacher did cut you off. “How about the others start first okay? You can go out and take a deep breath”, your teacher said with understanding. You immediately rushed out of the classroom into the toilets, where you locked yourself in. You felt how it was harder to breath for air and tears ran down your cheeks.

“Y/N? What do you think?”, your cousin Pedro asks you, ripping you out of your thoughts. “U-umm… I guess I like everyone”, you say a little bit overwhelmed. “Are you okay?”, Bruno asks you while raising his eyebrows. “Yeah sure, I’ll go to bed now guys, good night.”, you say with a fake smile and making your way to your room. You see your aunt coming towards you with the laundry. “Tía, do you know, when dad will come home?”, you ask her. “No, not really. I guess he will come back at midnight”, she says with a smile, placing a kiss on your forehead. You nod and go into your room. You let out a loud sigh and directly lay down on your bed. Your dad, Pedro Pascal, is now at an event, you don’t even know what kind of event. He didn’t have any time the last few days, because of work and that’s why you’ve been staying at your aunt’s. You anxiety got a lot worse because he wasn’t there. He always knows how to comfort you. Of course, you wanted to write him after what happened at school, but you thought you’ll just distract him.

You lay down on your bed and it doesn’t take long that you directly drive off to sleep.

You’re in your classroom again, standing in front of your classmates. “Are you serious? Why are you stuttering?”, one of your classmates’ yells and you gulp. Everyone was looking at you again, and they started to get more. You run out to the hallway, but everyone comes to you and circles around you, everyone just stares. “P-please stop…”, you whisper while starting panicking again. “Are you being dramatic again?”, someone says and the voices start to get more and louder. “You’re just overreacting!”, you hear another voice say and everyone starts to get nearer. “N-no, p-please”, you start crying.

“Stop!”, you yell and wake up sweating and crying out of your nightmare. You feel a hand on yours, and you flinch. You look up and its your dad. “Mi cariño…”, he mumbles soft and you directly wrap your arms around his neck, hugging him tightly. You can tell he just came home because he’s still in his suit. “It’s okay… You’re safe, darling..:”, he whispers and caresses your head. Your breath starts to slow down and take a deep breath. “It was a nightmare…. A really bad one “, you mumble and stop hugging him. “Did anything happen today because you had this nightmare?”, he asks a little bit concerned, while taking a seat next to you laying his arm around your shoulder. You sigh and rest your head on his shoulder. You take a deep breath and tell him what happened in school today.

“Why didn’t you told me, mi cariño?”, he asks while giving you a kiss on your forehead. “I just… thought I would distract you…”, you whisper exhausted. He takes your face into his hands, directly looking into your eyes. “You would never distract me, honey. You’re the most important person in my life and you’re all I care about… You can always call me even if I’m at work.”, he says in a soft, but serious voice. You smile slightly and nod. “Te quiero…” (I love you), you whisper and a smile appears on his lips. “I love you too, my darling…”, he says and pulls you into his arms.

You wrap your arms around him and just enjoying his presence. You rest your head on his lap and you directly notice how tired you get. He strokes a strand of hair from your face and start caressing your head again. Before you drive off to sleep, you hear him whisper:

“I’m here… you’ll never be alone; I will always be there.”
