Dante

While Dante has the reputation of a player, when he starts to fall he falls hard.

It'll start out innocent enough, he thinks about them a lot, will often worry about them when they're away, typical golden retriever man stuff.

He'll always bring them up in conversation or, when talking to them, will bring up him thinking about them.

"Last night I saw this movie, the lead totally reminded me of you-"

Dante will take every chance he can to flirt with them.

Even if they're just passing by he has to tell them how much he likes the outfit they're wearing or the way they did their hair.

When Lady and Trish tease him for being so infatuated he'll deny it vehemently.

"We're just friends, I talk to everyone like that!" "Uh huh, you totally tell everyone they look sexy eating pizza Dante."

Has no idea how down bad he is until one night he's cranking one out and their image pops into his head.

One thing's for sure, the post nut clarity is a bitch slap of truth this time.

Vergil

Unlike Dante, Vergil is a much harder nut to crack (hah)

He catches himself falling hard and fast before he can show it externally

He'll immediately emotionally withdraw himself once he realizes how he feels. Of course he cares about them, that's why he has to keep them away.

Although he emotionally distanced himself, he can't physically stay away from them.

This only worsens his internal struggle, and soon enough he'll start making excuses in his head to justify staying around them.

"If I don't flirt with them then there's no harm done, talking about books over tea never hurt anyone" "I don't care about them anymore, they'll only get hurt, but it'll hurt them too if I skip lunch with them tomorrow."

This continues until he reaches his final conclusion, "I can be strong enough to protect them this time."

From that point on he'll take the secret admirer route, leaving small gifts and notes, mostly poems, for them to find.

Vergil will take note of things they tell him to add in later. They mention their favorite candy? You bet they're gonna find a small package with a hand written note later that night.

Nero

It's really not too hard to tell when Nero has a crush.

While he's considered the most level headed of the three, he's also the one who can't seem to find his footing when he's down bad.

He'll become a blushy mess whenever they're around. (Nico likes to tease him about how his ears turn red)

He's so desperate to win them over he'll take advice from anyone, even Dante (big mistake).

Bad pickup line after bad pickup line, he tries his best.

He'll try to get as close to them as possible, mentally noting down every detail about them and their life.

He'll try to go the same route as Vergil but will soon get impatient (both with coming up with good notes and how long it's taking)

After a while he finds it easiest to just be honest about how he feels.

He’d probably have you against a wall or a desk, anything that would mean you’re pinned up against something

He’d curl his finger under your chin and pull your face up to make you look at him in the eyes

Obviously he’s going to have that devil smirk on his face, full well knowing what he’s doing to you

He’d rub his thumb across your bottom lip then slightly down your chin, his eyes never leaving yours

He’ll slowly lean into you, resting his forehead against yours, and making your noses touch

Dante will let out a little hum and then lean into the kiss, he’d stay there for a few seconds, barely making your lips meet before pulling away again

His hand would move from your chin and slightly down your neck, he’d have his hand wrapped around it but he wouldn’t squeeze - at least not yet

His thumb would trace up and down the side of your neck as he goes back into the kiss, slowly just to tease you

He’d barely kiss you at first but eventually he’d deepen the kiss, getting more into it as he feels that familiar sensation growing in the pit of his stomach

Dante would make the kiss faster and more passionate, almost like he was completely desperate for every part of you, his hands would wander a lot more, one most likely resting them on your ass even if you were pushed up against something

Eventually he’d push his body against yours, he’d be becoming more impatient with himself, his free hand would rub up the side of your body, pushing up your shirt to expose your skin

His other hand would move from your ass and come back up to your throat, he’d squeeze slightly, just enough so you’d feel some pressure and hopefully pleasure from it - but nothing too drastic

He’d only pull away to catch his breath, sighing in satisfaction and giving you a stupid smile before quickly going back to kissing you just as desperate as before, until eventually he drags you off somewhere more “private”

He’d stand in front of you, silently looking at you before letting out a quiet sigh

Virgil would walk up to you, giving you a barely noticeable smile before placing a hand on your cheek

His thumb rubbing up and down your face while he looks you in the eyes before slowly leaning in, just making sure you didn’t want to back away

He’d be pretty delicate at first, it’d be slow and sensual - not too much pressure behind the kiss but still enough for you to know that he wanted nothing more than kissing you

He’d pull away slightly, resting his forehead on yours before gently grabbing your face, making sure you stayed looking at him

His kisses would quickly become more sloppy and needy, but still as sensual as it was before

He’d probably back you up against something just so you were more supported

If he couldn’t get you up against something he’d just have a hand placed on the bottom of your back, pulling you into his body while his other hand rests against the side of your neck instead

Eventually he’d pull away, smiling slightly at you before taking a step back

His hand would brush through his hair before nodding slightly then he’d probably just turn away or go straight back to kissing you

If he goes back to kissing you then prepare to be there for awhile, because he’s a lot more needy and touch starved than he leads on

— Nero —

Nero would grab your arm unexpectedly while you’re walking in front of him, he’d pull you back and spin you around so you clash against him

He’d give you a cheeky smile as one hand rests on your lower back and his other rubbing up your arm towards your shoulder

He’d give you a quick look up and down, and maybe shooting you a little wink

He wouldn’t hesitate to kiss you, it’d be quick and desperate, but in a good way. It wouldn’t be sloppy or anything like that, more like controlled passion than anything else

You’d both be out of breath pretty quickly, but he’d only pull away for a split second before going straight back at it

Nero would groan into the kiss, putting more pressure behind the kiss as his grip on your shoulder tightens before his hand slides to the side of your neck

His other hand would go to the other side of your neck too, he’d most likely try slide his tongue into your mouth as he gets more desperate for your touch

He’d become more needy and desperate the more he became turned on, he’d be trying to press his crotch against you in an attempt to ease the pressure that was slowly growing in his trousers

“Fuck,” he’d groan as he pulled back from you, “can we please move this somewhere else?”

He’d most likely have been walking with you, once you had reached where ever you were going he’d say your name to make you turn around

V would lean in, his lips hovering over yours, “may I?” He’d wait for you to nod or say something before kissing you

Dante:

He’s a little surprised to see all the different cats roaming the house; but he isn’t really bothered by them. At least not until they start scratching at him or trying to groom his hair. He has to shoo them off when he is trying to get his own cuddle time in with his s/o, since all of them want to cuddle too apparently lol. Eventually has to give in to being a cat sofa since all of them climb onto him as well, and curl up purring between him and his s/o lol.

Nero:

He is intimidated by all the cats around lol. He can feel their eyes on him at all times, as if they are watching to see him mess up and hurt their owner. They constantly walk around and on him if he is sitting on the couch next to them, and he can feel shivers run up his spin when they start to crowd around him for attention. His s/o has to reassure him over and over that their cats aren’t going to kill him lmao.

V:

Low key he is in heaven with all these cats. He loves their plush fur and how comfortable they seem to be with him right away. They love to curl at his sides and in his lap, purring so much it sounds like a machine whirring to life. He could sit there and pet them all day, and eventually falls asleep on his s/o’s couch surrounded by all their cats lol. They feel slight pang of jealousy towards their cats at times since V gives them a lot of attention when he visits as well lol.

Vergil:

Tiny fur balls with fangs and claws. He tends to have stare downs with them when he visits, and most of the time tends to scare them off, even when he isn’t meaning to. They all seem to scatter when he comes over, much to his worry. His s/o has to pick them up and slowly introduce them properly to him one by one in hopes they’ll eventually get used to him being around. He appreciates the effort they are putting in to make him feel welcome in their home, and slowly gets used to the cats as they do of him as well.

I was feeling particularly soft this week and despite being busy with the move, I decided to do a little fluff piece based on a headcanon Will and I came up with a while back involving V taking in strays! I’m going to revisit this later and make this into an actual fic or do a part two after I clear off my to-do list, but for now, enjoy a little short!

V is obsessed with cats.

He is also obsessed with making you happy. 

For your first Valentine’s day together, Trish suggested he get you flowers, and although it felt a little bit of a cliché, he accompanied her to the nearest shop and helped her put together a lovely bouquet for you.

He had been so nervous to offer them to you, but when he saw the way your eyes lit up at the sight of them, he decided there would not be another day gone by where he didn’t put that smile on your face.

And so, every day since, for the last five years, he has made the trek to the local floral shop to purchase a single rose to leave on your nightstand.
