This felt like a punch to the throat
It’s really interesting how Kyle sort of takes on the caretaker role in Kenny Dies — by which I mean, he’s the one trying to take care of everyone else when they’re breaking down. Kyle chases Stan outside when Stan runs out of the hospital because Stan can’t handle watching Kenny die. And Kyle comforts Stan when Stan finds the courage too late to say goodbye to Kenny later. Kyle holds Cartman when Cartman starts crying, and Kyle tells Cartman that sure Cartman will find a cure for Kenny even though Kyle doesn’t actually believe it. Kyle’s the one most by Kenny’s bedside, keeping him company, reading him get well cards from classmates, assuring him that Stan will show up real soon to see him, and just trying to make the situation as less painful and scary for Kenny as he can. And Kyle is the only one of the three boys who is there when Kenny dies. Who is by his side when he takes his last breath.
And it makes sense when you consider — not only is Kyle the only one of the trio who is an eldest sibling, expected to care for someone else sometimes and be the adult in some respects. But Kyle’s been deathly ill in the hospital a couple times. He actually has died before, briefly. When he tells Stan, “Look, however hard you think it is for you, it’s a lot harder for him,” those aren’t just words. Kyle gets what Kenny’s going through. If any of the three boys understands Kenny’s situation, it’s Kyle.
I love this so much

I feel like the usage of the term “crack ship” has changed. When I think “crack ship”, I don’t think ‘these two characters have good chemistry and would be good together, but it’s not going to happen, so it’s crack", I think Loki/Gordon Ramsay
People need to realize that there’s a difference between straight people and Straight People™
