day 1 - prince x fem!knight
they don’t have names yet but i can say 1. they r very sun & moon
2. the knight is a mermaid, she becomes human during the day to serve the princes kingdom on land to get intel for her own kingdom underwater (like a undercover agent? knight?) she’s bound to a curse that if anyone were to find out she is shifting between forms, she will be stuck forever in the opposite form of whatever form she is currently in/found out in (idk if that explains it well oops) [also idk how much i eff w this idea but that shifting between forms is involuntary & is bound to a day & night cycle, so as the sun rises she becomes human, & viceversa]
i hope that made sense but below is more sketches & rambley notes about them!! ↓↓

Waves, lapped gently at your waist, as you laid comfortably, on a partially submerged, rock, the air, cool, and crisp, against your skin. It felt so peaceful at this time of night, when the beach was free of people, and the moon’s ethereal light, was dancing across the shore.
You wished, it could always be like this.
Taking in a deep breath of the fresh sea breeze, you stretched your arms above your head, and arched your back for a moment, before slumping back down contentedly, a soft smile, pulling at your lips. Coaxed by the rhythmic waves, and emboldened by the blissful solitude, you felt a song start to bubble up, inside your chest.
Time slipped away, as you laid there, singing wistfully to the moon, and the stars, lost in your own little world. Sadly however, such a peaceful moment, couldn’t last forever, and the sound of a shaky gasp, quickly had you tensing, and falling silent.
Head snapping up, in fright, you froze as you realised that someone was standing at the waters edge, staring at you with wide eyes.
….Or rather….your tail.

On the subject of mermen and mermaids, I’m trying to think of a serious idea but the only thing that comes to mind is… A shy merman or maid, possibly with social anxiety, having a crush on a human. But all they can think of doing to show their interest is… catching fish and throwing it at said human.
Not giving it.
Throwing it. Like at the head. And then vanishing under the waves again while the human tries to figure out WTF just happened.
