My friend is listening to a nostalgia playlist and the song “Only Wanna Be With You” by Hootie & the Blowfish came on and honestly suddenly all I could think about was a secret relationship/situationship between Steddie where Eddie was trying to keep it casual and refused to accept it was anything more than a non-exclusive FWB situation while Steve wanted more.

It blows up, because of course it does, and Steve decides he can’t do it anymore and tells Eddie it’s over and to respect him enough to give him space and not contact him for a while and is very firm it’s over because he respects himself enough to give himself that.

And Eddie. Eddie hates it. Hates to acknowledge that Steve was correct when he said that Eddie never met him halfway, that Eddie always expected Steve to listen to what Eddie wanted when they were together, to watch what Eddie wanted, to do what Eddie wanted. That Eddie never tried to be a part of Steve’s life like Steve tried to be a part of his. Hates that he took Steve for granted. Hates that he made Steve feel like Eddie was ashamed of him.

Realizes how much he only wants Steve. They weren’t exclusive, and Eddie flirted with others, but he never actually did anything with anyone else. Because all he wanted, even if he couldn’t admit it to himself at the time, was Steve.

So he writes Steve a little pop rock song, confessing his feelings in such a cringe and embarrassing way for a metalhead, but he knows that’s that what he needs to do for even a chance at getting Steve back. So he writes a song in the style Steve would like, convinces Robin to take Steve out to the bar while CC is playing (it takes some doing but Robin lets Eddie know when Steve is ready for seeing Eddie again), and then Eddie stops their normal set in the middle of their show to play Steve his song.

He looks at Steve the entire time.

They finish the rest of their set as normal but him and Steve talk after and Eddie apologizes profusely and Steve doesn’t accept yet, but he agrees to give Eddie a second chance. But…Eddie has to woo him properly.

And Eddie?

That man fucking delivers. He’s buying flowers, chocolates, writing love songs and love poems, picking Steve up and dropping him off at work, hanging out with him to do the things that Steve likes to do, even if that means playing basketball with him, taking him on dates and pushing for nothing more than a chaste kiss at the end of the night—with he asks permission for each time. He is complimenting Steve in front of everyone and letting everyone know how fucking gone he is for Steve Harrington.

And Steve laps it up.

He eventually tells Eddie he forgives him, but warns Eddie that he better never pull that fucking shit again.

And Eddie doesn’t.

And they move on and finally allow themselves to be as in love as they have always been, even if it took a while to accept it.

And, years later, when they both become Mr. Munson-Harrington, Eddie and the rest of CC stand up and head to the instrument on the small raised platform and Eddie croons Steve’s song and looks his groom in the eye the entire time.

Because he only wants to be with Steve.

Summary; Bakugou gets a message form 'Izzy' his supposed girlfriend, but when class 1a goes to be consulted for their new hero suits they realise just how wrong they were.

"hey Bakugou you got 2 messages"Kaminari yelled from the lounge room "it's from Mei and, DUDE you gotta girlfriend!" he yells and catches the attention of the rest of the Bakusquad "bro whos Izzy, is she your girlfriend" Kirishima teases, Bakugou simply takes his phone off of Kaminari and replies with a short and sweet "no" then he walks back to the kitchen, the squad exchange a look the then get up and follow after Bakugou, who stands at the stove mixing his curry and smiling at his phone, "whatcha smiling at Bakugou" Sero wiggles his eyebrows "nunya" Bakugou smiles at his phone messages 'Izzy' back before sliding his phone into his back pocket and continuing to make the class dinner, "who hungry".

the conversation at the dinner table is interesting, "hey did you know that some support group class blew up a workshop" Hagakure said sparking a new conversation "yeah it was Hatsumei and someone else" Uraraka says "it was Bakugous girlfriend!" Kaminari yells "what?!" the class all looks to Bakugou "I don't have a girlfriend" he simply says "yes you do, you got a message earlier from 'Izzy' saying I just blew someone up and a message from Mei? saying I've been blown up" Mina says "Mei is Hatsumei-sans first name kerro," Tsu says then Kirishima complains "how come you call her by her first name but not us" "I call a lot of people by their first name" "oh yeah who else are you sure your no dating Hatsumi-Sama"Mina taunts and Bakugou rolls his eyes starting to get annoyed with the constant chattering and questioning, so he shuts them up by proving them wrong, "I call Hitoshi by his first name and he's not my girlfriend" and that does it their all quiet "...*cricket noise*..." well not all good things last, "WHAT!" "I don't have a girlfriend, I happen to call them both by their first name because I was asked to, no I will not call you by your first names leave me alone or you'll be cooking for yourselves I happen to know that the support classes like my cooking and wouldn't mind if I use their kitchen" he then gets up and leaves, "wait a second how do you know the support classes!" Kaminari yells after him, "wasn't that weird" Jiro says and goes back to eating and conversing with Momo.

The next day

"today we will be taking a trip down to support class 1-H but as the word travels fast 2 students yesterday were testing something and blew it up so I have a warning from power loader" he reads from a piece of paper "stay outside of the rainbow line that is dangerous territory and I will not be responsible for any casualties, you never know how exaggerated notes can be, so stay clear of the rainbow line" the class tuck in their chairs and start to walk to the classroom.

"hey Bakugou what class Is your girlfriend in?" he groans in response before yelling "I don't have a girlfriend" they all groan back "guys guys you're doing it all wrong, what class is 'izzy' in?" Kaminari asks with a smug smile, Bakugou glares at them "this one" "ha ha were going to meet your girlfriend how do you feel about that" "I think you should refrain from tormenting our classmates Kaminari," Iida says doing his robot dance "but Iida arent you a little curious about Bakugous girlfriend I mean think about it who would want to date him," Uraraka says trying to persuade her boyfriend and in̶t̶e̶n̶t̶i̶o̶n̶a̶l̶ly̶ unintentionally insulting Bakugou "what was that ROUND FACE!" he screamed, "he's just proving my point!" Iida looked conflicted considering his options "I will admit to being curious as to who Bakugous girlfriend is" Bakugou was just about to yell something back when they arrived at the classroom, the door opened and the class was greeted by a messy Mei Hatsumei

"Kat, Kat, Kat did you watch the video of the explosion I sent you!" she jumped up and down, Katsuki pushed to the front of the group "good morning to you too Mei I slept well as well" he said sarcastically "oh right manners Mei, good moring Kat," her hair was messy and there was still patches of her last explosion on her body and clothes "yes I saw the video, I watched it this morning, have you started making baby number 4 yet" "yep wanna watch?" "call me when your testing, ill watch then" the students behind them were horrified "Hatsumi!, bakugou! your traumatizing students!" power loader yelled "pfft, anyway wanna make a baby with me" "id love to it sounds fun id love to get my hands dirty" some of the support class students started laughing knowing exactly what was going on, and power loader just sighed "oh and 'Izzy's looking forward to making a baby with you~" she cooed "ok that's enough, ground rules, try not to touch anything unless necessary, stay out of the rainbow area and don't touch anything that says 'Izzy' or Mei now just look around for your suit and go"power loader stepped in and stopped their ridiculous conversation and some of the students looked around for their suits but others stayed and watched Bakugou, he walked into the rainbow area the class looked over there but didn't see a petite blonde named 'Izzy', Bakugou walked over to a green-haired boy and hugged him from behind making him turn around, he put his "baby" down and put his hands on Bakugous waist "hi kitten" he said " hi Izu" Bakugou turned to his classmates and stuck out his tongue, Mei laughed loudly form her workspace, a screwdriver in one hand and a blowtorch in the other "that's 'izzy'" she pointed to the boy still laughing "WHAT!" Bakugou leaned forward and kissed the boy "he came second last year in the sports festival" Momo said "yep, I did" he said "hi im Izuku Midoriya Katsukis boyfriend" Kat started laughing and so did Mei, "you thought he was straight, that's the funnest thing I've heard since vine" they were expecting something completely different not this hes 6ft with a green undercut and a dangley cross earring, hes muscly and tall and the complete opposite of the girl they were picturing.

Arcane Vampire au

Zaunites are vampires and Piltes are hunters. So Jayce is a human and Viktor is a vampire, Caitlyn is a human and Violet is a vampire, ect. The two cities are much more insular which changes politics and such.

Universe A)

Viktor never left Zaun, but somehow him and Jayce still end up meeting. In the end Jayce sets up a secret lab in the undercity where him and Viktor can work. Viktor struggles to feed himself since hunting in the state he is in is almost impossible, so Jayce allows him to feed on him in return for help with his work. They become very close over time, even with the huge amount of stigma a relationship like theirs has. Jayce maneged to keep Viktor a secret, but then one day Caitlyn is at his door and he knows he needs to figure something out quick. Thankfully he had thought of something like this happening and has a semblance of a plan he can throw together. He asks Viktor if he trusts him, which of course the man does, and he gives him a quick apology before shoving a gag in his mouth and attaching him to the wall by his brace. Viktor is trying to trust, trying not to panic, but he hates being helpless, and this is basically his worst nightmare. Jayce makes sure he isn't hurting in the position he's in (it's actually pretty comfortable, it stretches and decompresses his spine in a way he didn't know he needed), before going to let Caitlyn in. Except Caitlyn isn't alone. Caitlyn has fallen into a secret affair with Vi, but now the girl is injured and she doesn't know where else to take her. She's hoping that if she covers her mouth then she can get away with making sure Jayce won't ask questions by promising not to tell about his secret lab to her parents. And for a while it seems like it might work, but then they see the gaged vamp hanging from the wall. And like hell is Vi leaving one of her people here to be experimented on by a Piltie, and Caitlyn understands that this is a person Jayce is doing experiments on. Vi wants to do a jailbreak immediately, but Cait manages to talk her out of it. 1, she's injured and the whole reason they are here is for medical attention. 2, Caitlyn knows Jayce, the man is practically her brother, and she knows that if she can convince him that vampires are people, he won't keep experimenting on them. She wants to try and do this without a fight, but it's also a huge risk. He could tell her parents; he could try to hurt Vi if he finds out what she is; there are so many things that could go wrong. But even if they free this vamp Jayce could just capture another, so she has to at least try. All of these plans would have gone better had they not discussed them in Viktor's presence. Viktor waits until Vi has gotten medical care to take out his gag since his hands aren't tied up and interjects into the conversation. There are a few minutes of confusion and panic from both sides, but eventually, they all figure out that they are all on the same side.

Universe B)

Viktor was a part of the Hounds pack up until his death. He ran away to avoid being killed by Silco's goons, and somehow meets Jayce. Jayce, of course, wants to help, but if he is seen doing so, it will cause all kinds of scandal. So he ends up pretending to keep Viktor for research purposes. The lab is locked, and anytime anyone wants to enter, they have to let him know so that he can "secure anything hazardous." So he has time to help Viktor put on his gag and situate him in his restraints. And nobody can try and say having the vamp doesn't do anything, because Jayce and Viktor work so well together that "Jayce's work" jumps in productivity and such. Of course everyone assumes that it is because he is experimenting on Viktor, not because Viktor is also a brilliant scientist. Several people see Viktor over the years. Both Himerdinger and Mel are unnerved by him. Himerdinger has tried to convince people before that Vampires are people, and hasn't made much progress. He hates seeing Viktor because he knows that his student is experimenting on a man, and there isn't anything he can do about it. Noxus also has much more lax ideals about Vampires, and while Mel knows better than to try and speak out in that area, it still unnerves her to see Viktor. She can imagine the pain that Jayce puts him through, and she doesn't like thinking Jayce capable of such things. Caitlyn has of course seen Viktor before, but she was never sure how to take him. Of course, then she meets Vi and understands that Vampires are people, and then she feels sick thinking of the poor, thin, sick-looking vamp that Jayce has kept locked in his lab for years. She wasn't planning on saying anything to Vi; she knew she would just get mad about it, and there wasn't anything they could do about it, but then, for their plans, they realized they needed something from Jayce's lab. And Caitlyn tries to warn her, tries to infuse that Jayce is a scientist and not a vamp-friendly one, but Vi doesn't really understand until she sees the man that was practically her brother gaged and hanging in a laboratory. At this point she's ready to fuck the plan, but before she can Viktor has tapped some instructions to Jayce. Jayce locks the doors at Viktor's command, not that the girls know that, and tries to ask Caitlyn what she's hiding from him. Caitlyn is trying to doge, scared that he knows Vi is a vamp, and keep Vi from pouncing on him as he goes over to mess with Viktor's restraints.
