-------SPOILERS------
[Cause Idk how to do the cut thing yet lol]
I have a few questions
What was that manta beast at the beginning of the film? Was it ever hunted down or is it still out there?
What is the whole Hunter Code? I know we get some bits and pieces if it, but holy cow I wasn't expecting "Kill a crew member who's being a coward" to be on there, especially when there's no exceptions to kids.
What's going to happen to Crow?
He's quite literally lost everything. What is he going to do now? I don't think he went back to the crew and was like, "Yeah I tried to kill a child and my own adopted son and did some black market dealing but that was like, 10 minutes ago!" And everyone was fine with it.
So that Batterbie? Batterby? However you spell it. Is she like a sea witch or something?
Like HTTYD, will there be a follow up movie/show? Cause it sure does feel like it to me.
I love httyd, fish edition
Please watch The Sea Beast
The Sea Beast is full of women characters, none that are reduced to be "the woman" pirate/sailor, the only woman in the gang (smurfette) or romantic tropes.
Normally these type of stories are composed of entirely male ensembles, but just look at this group shot where you can see how diverse the characters are. They all look different and unique, from design to voice acting.
Even small roles like the lady driving the carriage - these minor characters that are always male, or the person serving drinks being a man (yes I noticed it people who made this movie!! I see what you did there).
Great movie, can't wait to watch it again today
“Aye. They were heroes. But you can be a hero and still be wrong.”
The Sea Beast (2022) dir. Chris Williams
Dreamworks: Here’s someone that got what they always wanted! They lose interest after five minutes and go make new relationships or reconnect with old ones!
movies from disney are like "generational trauma!! generational trauma!!! generational trauma!!!" while netflix are like "unloved?? here is an old guy he's your father figure from now on"
please tell me im not the first person to make the comparison
I watched this movie for the plot
My daddy issues were really struggling while watching The Sea Beast...
