Mudwing of amber scales

Getting from the sand kingdom to the mud kingdom wasn't easy. The war didn't make it any easier. Sunhunter had flown day and night, fueled only by fear. The sight she saw in the vision still haunting her. She couldn't bare to look at the mountains when she had passed them. Finally over the rainforest the outskirts of the mud kingdom were in view. This side of the kingdom remained untouched by war. Once a place regarded for only the low born mudwings was turned into a bustling city. Being the closest to the rain kingdom it made for a good base camp.

The Diamond spray was where battles were often held. A faint burning glow sat on the horizon. Sunhunter wondered where the queen was. Her palace was so close to the war and yet sunhunter hear she refused to leave it.

In her thoughts she missed the rainwing patrol. The slender soldiers shot into the air slamming into her wings. She tumbled downward flailing trying to catch some balance. The rainwings followed and wrapped their tails around her limbs yanking in different directions. It took about six to slow her fall. Seven to full restrain her.

Sunhunter growled as she thrashed "let me go! Please! I must find someone!" Her eyes caught a few of the soldiers faces as they were back down within the camp. Their noses wrinkled as their tails let her go "hybrid…" one grumbled to the others. "We're giving you mercy but dont think trying to sell Queen Gila or Queen DiamondCrusher secrets will give you the same result…" they slithered back to their posts.

Sunhunter knew all too well both queens distaste for hybrids. Just last week her hybrid friend goldtail tried to trade rainwing secrets for immunity…. his head now sits stuffed on Queen Gilas wall. Sunhunter shut her eyes tightly trying to forget the image as well as to quiet her spinning head. After a moment of regaining her footing she looked around. While mudwings and rainwings werent crazy about hybrids they held less murderous urges. Worst sunhunter got was a weird look. It could also be they were too busy fighting the war to care. A few large mudwings with frills and rainwings with heavy plating walked about. They didn't seem to be worried about it. Sunhunter had to shake her head again. She had gone off track thinking. She started into the city. Mudwing of amberscales…. Mudwing of amberscales….

She could only frown finding hickorys, chocolates, umbers, mahogany, russets, chestnuts, and even a few siennas. Out from a large mud den glowing from inside, came two figures. One mudwing of darker browns scales, they waved to mudwing behind them before disappearing into the crowd. The mudwing they waved to….. covered in sparking amber scales. He was large and had a few deep scars on his shoulders. His sides were speckled with amber like stars in the sky. Sunhunter couldnt tell if they were apart of him or if he embedded them himself. She wriggled past the crowd and made it to the den. She didn't pause before entering. The mudwing looked up with a jolt. The inside of his den was cozy with blankets and pillows. The glow was coming from a burning fireplace, warmed the place enough that it felt like the desert to sunhunter. He laid near it was a scroll at his talons. Instead of being angry, shocked, or screaming at sunhunter to get out… he raised a brow. "I wasn't expecting you so soon." "What?" Sunhunter shook her head. "Take a seat you must be exhausted." He motioned a talon to the pile of deep purple pillows.

Sunhunter didn't protest despite her shock. She flopped into the pile and curled her barbed tail in. So soft. She could feel her eyelids growing heavy already. Quickly lifting her head she continued "How do you know me? How did you know I was coming?"

all I see is fire

Sunhunter knew what her head splitting headache was from. Any water source she came upon hummed a beckoning call. Closing shop she finally clasped the water bowl. Her eyes glared into the swirling blue. She couldn't see anything. It meant she need to go further. With a sigh, she inhaled and dipped her face in.

Darkness...

Silence....

Nothing truly worth her time.

Rumbling. Quiet.... then louder...

Screaming. Lots of dragons screaming. Roaring, hissing, and cracking flames.

The darkness burst into a blaze as bright as the sun.

Rocks flew down toward her.

No.

Mountains.

It was pieces of the mountains.

A roar drowned silenced the screaming dragons. Far above the mountain tops, horns piercing the night sky. His head upturned and his jaws twisted in an angry hiss. Flames billowed from his throat, scales cracking open to release more fire. The trees blazed below, spreading faster than a blink. Sunhunter was a dragon meant for extremes yet this heat singed her scales.

The dragons jaws shut and his head turned slowly to her. His voice deep.

"I am the final sunrise."

He struggled to keep his jaws closed as the flames lapped at his lips

"I will devour pyrrhia and crush her moons.

All guilty.

No innocent."

"Find the mudwing of speckled amber."

The whisper caused sunhunter to break eye contact with the flaming dragon. She looked back to only find darkness. When her gaze returned only the back of the dragons blazing throat met her.

Sunhunter yanked her head from the water panting. Her talons trembled, the bowl had new cracks from where she held it.

(If anyone has any laptop recommendations that can handle maya please lmk. I'm going off of specs and I'm so clueless about laptops lmao)

In the far future all of pyrrhia has advanced to include technology, as well as robots and cyborgs. Each tribe with their own style of robotics the advancement varies. Nightwings specifically have turned to experimenting wit magic and technology. The final straw? Trying to put dragons souls into robots after death.

More info on the 2nd leaf/night dude, Conifer is a self proclaimed leader of the pinewings (a group on par with the poisonwings and sapwings) Pinewings are a hidden group of leafwings that reside in Northern forests, made up of conifers as you may have guessed, and they just chill pretty much. Conifer keeps them out of other tribes drama and makes sure their well taken care of. Conifer himself is a quiet and stern looking dude. He's strict and doesn't enjoy to joke around. At the same time though he has a very protective feel to him and you tend to like to be around him. He won't push you away either even if he's not in the best of moods Despite being the big ol tough guy leader he's usually stuck with babysitting duty as he'll allow others to go out to hunt n forage.

I need to fr lock in and make a comic. Absolute dream would be to make a comic that sells in comic shops so that way I can say "Yeah a comic shop didn't hire me but now I'm making them 😏"

Kite is a piebald skywing who lives with a big group of other skywings on the outskirts of the sky kingdom who practice falconry. Her bird is a golden eagle called Amber. The tattoo on her face shows shes apart of this group of skywings.

princess jojoba, sandwing, she/her

Jojoba I'd one of many siblings and in no way near the throne, thus she is carefree. She's also mama's favorite and they spend time together often. when not with her mother she is off watching races across the dunes and trading within markets. While Jojoba is outgoing and joyful she is haunted by the fact one of her sisters will kill their mother for the throne. She doesn't want to loose her mother and she knows she'll never very whoever does it the same.

Forestfire, skywing, he/him

Forestfire is a rather large firescales skywing. When he was born rumors and fear spread quickly. His parents paid an animus to make a rope, unable to be burned or broken, and tied it around their sons jaws to keep him from using his fire. They thought if he never used fire that the internal flame would just burn out and he'd become "normal". The rope did the opposite causing his flames to burn stronger and break through his scales to find some relief. The poor boy was then banished into the mountain and locked up for good. Forestfire now waits within the mountain growing angrier by the day waiting for a group of pseudo prophecy dragonets to stumble their way in and release him.

Art status: old ref, needs redo and will probably be removing the front horn it's a bit too hivewing

Fossil, mudwing, he/him

Fossil is a lost mudwing trying to find his family. He doesn't remember them but just has that gut feeling something is wrong. He is well liked within the mudwing villages and he drifts from troop to troop, feeling loved but not exactly fitting in

Wolfsbane, leafwing, he/him

A hired hand, will do anything for money kinda guy. He looks pretty intimidating so he hasn't really had to get violent on many of his jobs. Thinking of sticking this guy into my other mind au story

Queen Sonne and Queen sunset, skywing and silkwing, both she/her

Two queens I made for an rp a long time ago that sadly didn't work out. They do have full refs but they are on bases rn and need redone.

Queen sonne of the skywings is an older more serious queen, she is known for being harsh and no nonsense.

Queen sunset of the silkwings is a very young queen. She was her mothers only daughter and her mother sadly passed early. Sunset is under constant pressure from a group of nobles each trying to dictate laws to their own interest. Sunset is currently trying to find her voice and looks up to queen Sonne a lot.

He's got frostbreath, and attends Jade Mountain Academy! I don't have a whole lot for his lore, but I imagine he's a sweet guy.

(I'm also debating if I want to use Scarlet's arena in his story somehow. Like, maybe cause he's a hybrid she wanted to use him in the arena, idk)

His nose does have the little IceWing thing, but his face is a little more like a SkyWing's. Basically just like the first photo!^^

PEARLESCENT OF THE SEAWINGS (y'all know the drill more about him under the cut!)

12 years old (around 27 human years or so)

Cisgender - He/him - Verian (or Almondsexual - When a person is mostly attracted to men and or masculine alignment genders, along with androgynous and non-binary people. But rarely attracted to women and female aligned genders.) Bellussexual (Someone who is not interested in a sexual relationship but is comfortable with or enjoys behavior typically coded as sexual)

Voice Claim : Charlie Smith from Red Dead Redemption ||

Pearlescent is the oldest of his mother's first clutch. Being 12 years old. Though, he wasn't always the oldest. He had a few older siblings but they were disloyal to their mother. So, being a MAJOR momma's boy, he killed them.

His favorite pastime is whale hunting with his mother, Chondru. He hunts specifically for endangered species (and fun fact, also SPECIFICALLY pink dolphins) and he and Chondru sell them at the Dark Web (an underground marketplace that frequently moves to stay hidden. They mainly buy and sell illegal items (and substances) and contraband. The authorities have corruption in the outer circles because of this as they participate in the trading)

He collects the skulls and skeletons of whales that don't make the Dark Web's cut. Finds the anatomy of such creatures fascinating.

Seaglass's older brother, came from the clutch of eggs before her's and before their father passed due to being murdered. He know who Seaglass is, but doesn't *know* her. As her egg was traded away being the smallest egg in the clutch. (Chondru did not want such a delicate and innocent soul in her ring of crime. So she gave Seaglass's egg to her two closest friends, Abyss and Kraken.) Pearlescent didn't know this. He thought Seaglass was stolen away from their family. Because of this, he sought out Abyss and Kraken's home and slaughtered them to "save" his little sister. A one year old Seaglass, coming home from school, found this sight and attacked Pearlescent before fleeing to find help for her parents. But they don't believe her and Pearlescent gets off Scott free. Seaglass continues to fend for herself because of this.

Chondru, upon hearing this information, casts Pearlescent out. Pearlescent, heartbroken and bitter, leaves reluctantly. And eventually gets caught trying to continue trade with the Dark Web only to be caught by the highest of authorities. Prince Azure and the battalion he leads. As he acts as a general for his mother, Queen Starfish. (Epic and sad yaoi ensues)

He meets Seaglass once more, six years after their original encounter. He is now a part of the Royal guard (haha kinda like Vi /ref) and eventually reconciles with her. Though, he has yet to do so with his mother because of her underground mafia

He is wary of Seaglass's partner, Hawk. This is because he is a SkyWing and the war that broke out between them and the SeaWings 10 years ago. But eventually warms up to the Skywing and they become as close as brothers.

He makes Azure promise that Starfish never finds out about Hawk. For the SkyWing himself being a criminal, and for his sisters sake.

Known as the “lost star” or “sealer of fates”

Has very strong Foresight. In complete control of it despite their young age.

Loves stargazing. Sees the stars as past Nightwings with foresight guiding them. Has a lot of respect of the night.

Isolates themselves, doesn't like to be around other dragons, doesn't want to get close to anyone incase they get a vision of that dragon dying a painful death.

Terrified that they'll “seal” their own fate soon. Whatever they think that means.

Got the jagged scar on their face from their father after they predicted their mother's death. He always will blame them for that.

Once opened up, they're sweet and intuitive. They like rambling and ranting about the stars. Has maps of several constellations.

Hatched on a full lunar eclipse of one of the moons, due to this they can see how dragons will die and how that death will effect everything afterward. This is called “The curse of the blood moon”

Lives in the rainforest in the RainWing village with her parents, but is completely independent.

A gardener! She loves cultivating and splicing different species of fruits and flowers to make new ones!

Has NightWing genes from her great grandfather on her dad's side! Has Synesthesia due to it. Which means she tastes people's voices.

Has VERY distant skywing genes from Sugarplum, her great great grandmother. So her wings are a bit bigger than a normal RainWings

Loves making flower crowns! She loves giving them to her friends and she loves wearing them!!

Voice claim: Sapphire - Steven Universe

Ran away from her family to start a new life. Lives with Hawk on a remote island in the bay of a thousand scales.

Loves Hawk to death, would do anything to protect him and keep him safe. Even if that meant going against her tribe.

Helps Hawk through his night terrors by stroking his feathers, likes to wrap him in her wings afterwards

Though she loves Hawk, she sometimes is the cause of his anxiety and panic attacks. Either by not caring to tell him where she's going, or by snapping at him when she's had a long day. She makes mistakes. But she rights them immediately after she realizes her faults.

Traveling merchant! That's how she originally met Hawk. She was selling trinkets, shells, and carvings that she'd made! She's very skilled at sclupture.

Finds shiny things from the bottom of the sea to give to Hawk. Main love language is gift giving!

GENERAL SEAWING HC - THEY ALL HAVE PAW PADS AND THEY GLOW LIKE THEIR OTHER SCALES!!!

anyway here's starsealer! A 6 year old Nightwing with foresight. They use They/them pronouns and eventually gets together with watermelon!! They really like stargazing (cliche considering they're a Nightwing but trust it's part of their lore.)

Also quick fun fact : they got their scar from their father after their mother passed away from illness. (More into that when I go more in depth of their lore)

The last dragon in my trilogy of sillies, Hawk the Skywing!

He uses she/he pronouns (but prefers the latter, he likes the masculine sound of it)

Fun fact - he's a fugitive! He's running from the skywing kingdom for a murder. (More about that at a later date)

Second fun fact - he and seaglass are together! They both are currently hiding out on a (soon not to be) secluded island in the bay of a thousand scales.
