I think Neve Gallus deserves to be a blood mage. As a treat.
Everything is The Good Place and nothing hurts.

pros and cons of the dragon age games provided by me, your local dragon age gay
pros:
the introduction to the series!
DOG
you can select from multiple origins that provide not only an in-depth backstory but also a closer and more personal look at the different cultures that reside in thedas/ferelden
gives you a lot of lore and context that is vital to understanding the rest of the games
there are so many goddamn possible endings it’s actually incredible even minor choices you don’t think will impact the game can heavily affect character personalities (i’m looking at You, alistair and leliana)
the dialogue wheel Does Not Exist thank u lord
ZEVRAN!!!! Z E V R A N!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cons:
it’s the oldest in the series so it sure looks and feels like it
some people don’t like the combat mechanics; i don’t think they’re too bad but i like playing games like pillars of eternity so :L
“the grey wardens don’t involve themselves in politics” say local grey wardens as they singlehandedly decide the future of ferelden’s monarchies
the FUCKING deep roads oh my GOD
skip the fade is the best mod in existence
morrigan isn’t a lesbian??? exCUSE ME????
Morrigan Disapproves :’(
pros:
just like dragon age: origins this game introduces certain story beats that are CRUCIAL to the next game
DOG
imo it has the best combat/level up mechanic in both games
down to earth story that focuses less on world-shattering events and more on the ugly, complicated, diverse relationships between people
provides more information on the qunari culture than the first game did with the introduction of the arishok + fenris
really delves deep into the conflict between mages and templars, and all the conflicts therein
unafraid to tackle the concept of horrible loss, sacrifice, the right to freedom, and the consequences of vengeance
in this house we are ALL bi for hawke
VARRIC <33
cons:
Local Champion Despairs Of Friends, Threatens To Turn This City Around If They Can’t Get Along
the introduction of… the dialogue wheel :(
“mages aren’t people like you and me” says cullen rutherford directly to the apostate future champion of kirkwall with absolutely no shame
i’m so goddamn tired of mages and templars and blood mages oh my GOD
me about halfway through the game: “can’t we just uproot the chantry and start afresh this is so stupid”
me later: “NO NOT LIKE THAT”
WE CAN’T KISS VARRIC :(
pros:
you can play as any of the races of thedas!!! (qunari PC… bless up)
FROSTBITE ENGINE EVERYONE IS SO BEAUTIFUL
a deeper look into chantry hierarchies and the politics of thedas
semi-open world full of mysteries and things to explore!!
the approval system is much more streamlined with your companions tossing in their two cents whether they’re present or not
there’s so much elf lore in this game it’s spilling out the sides
companions come from all corners of thedas, providing us a more comprehensive look at the different countries
HIGH DRAGONS BITCHES WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO [IRON BULL VOICE] ANAAN
varric is back!!!
cons:
you get the “chosen one” storyline that’s been done 400 times before
THE FUCKGIN SHARDS…….
no dog :(
since the game concerns nearly every single country in the known world + their leaders it feels a little impersonal compared to the other two
Where In The World Is Zevran Arainai
if you play an elf inquisitor i’m so sorry
you can’t kiss cassandra as a woman even though she’s a romantic soft butch knight in shining armor i’ll never forgive u bioware
epilogue dlc that literally sets up and provides the premise for the next game WHY is this a dlc and not in the base game i just???
WE STILL CAN’T KISS VARRIC???
nona the ninth will always be one of the most beautiful and most painful books in the world to me because. it is about love in its every possible form. it's about the love you have for someone who takes care of you and the love you have for those you care for. it's about loving someone after seeing all their rough edges and ugly sides and choosing to love someone even if it hurts and even if you know it might doom you. it's about not choosing to love someone, but loving them anyway because sometimes it's not up to you to choose. it's about loving the dogs on the street and the stranger you met at the park and the child that never speaks to anyone in class. it's about loving the creases in someone's face when they laugh and the way their hips sway and how they can't stand still. it's about your love for the sea and the pang of grief at the tought that it is being poisoned. it's about the immense pain that comes with the loss of someone you loved. it's about bearing that loss, it's about letting that cut burn because its presence means that there was love. and that cannot be taken away. you have loved, you have been loved, and you always will. and the fact that it hurts and it ends doesn't erase the fact that at the end of the day, it's always love at the core of it all. in its every form and expression, by turning into rage, or kindness, or utterly destructive force, it all starts and ends in love. you can't remove that. you can't take loved away.
Be More Chill: sing along to ALL the instrumentals.
The Book of Mormon: passionately yell the lines. Then glance out the window awkwardly to make sure no one’s listening. Then resume passionately yelling. Awkwardly go quiet when you hear people passing your door. Repeat.
Dear Evan Hansen: two modes: either humming the songs peacefully to yourself or jumping to your feet, perfectly executing the “Sincerely, Me” dance and also doing all of Ben Platt’s physical tics and waiting for your Tony.
Falsettos: *singing along happily for hundredth time* *abruptly stops* What does that line even mean
Hamilton: there is literally only one way to do it: singing along to all the parts at once and incorporating all the furniture in the room for maximum effect.
The Last Five Years: have a hundred tabs open with the lyrics. It would be one of the easiest musicals to sing along to alone if there weren’t so many goddamn words.
Les Misérables: reconcile yourself to the fact that it’s physically impossible to sing along to all the parts. You gotta just pick a character to sing with. Which is actually fine, because most Les Mis fans have this one character that’s “their” character. And there’s probably only one character who’s in your range, anyway. I mean, you can try to sing along to all the parts, but prepare to get absolutely slaughtered in “One Day More.”
Newsies: whatever you do, just don’t try to dance along. Please.
Next to Normal: *singing along happily for hundredth time* *abruptly stops* Whoa. That line is really clever/weird/sad/beautiful.
The Phantom of the Opera: AHHHHH aaahhhh ahhhh ahhhHHHH SING MY ANGEL OF MUSIC AHHHH ahhhh ahhh hahhhHHHHH sing mY ANGEL ahhh hahhhhhhh ahhhhHHHHH SING FOR MEEEE AHHHHH HHHHHHHH HAHHHHH HHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SING MY ANGEL HHHHHHHH Ś̹̗̝̠̫I͓̻̰̲N̢̠͕G̦̬͟ ̲F̳̫̦̜̭̰O͙̹̪͕̞͉͟R̩̭̦ ̛̠͚̰M̫͍̬͇͈̖EE̖̙̬̳̞̞̹È̖E͈EE͏E̗̞̲͍̰̕E̗̙̬̻̭Ḛ̫͉̗̜ aaʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰʰ
Rent: ALL the air guitar.
Spring Awakening: *forgets lyric* 🎶 lonely grass purple horses hay bale 🎶
Waitress: wait until “I Didn’t Plan It” and “She Used to Be Mine,” and then let out YEARS of pain and sadness
Wicked: *searches on YouTube* how to belt
Memories that conjure patronuses:
Ron:
Seeing Hermione wake up after being petrified
Harry telling him that the Burrow was the best house he’d ever been in
Harry saying that Dumbledore knew he’d want to come back
Ron tearfully telling the twins what he thinks Harry is going through at Privet Drive and instead of making fun of him, Fred wipes his tears while George says “we’ll just have to go get him then, won’t we?”
Hermione:
Being rescued by Harry and Ron from the giant troll
Getting accepted to Hogwarts
Adopting Crookshanks
Ron squeezing her hand when they see Harry is alive
Ginny:
Realizing Harry wasn’t killed by Voldemort
Luna befriending her in their second year while others have avoided her because of Riddle’s influence last year
Winning the big quidditch game and getting kissed by Harry for the first time, all in the same day no less
Seeing Ron be impressed by her as she practices curses
Luna:
Dancing around with her mother as a little kid while her father smiled and worked
The first time Harry complimented her spellwork in a DA meeting
Going to a Wizard Rock concert with Ginny one summer night, her first summer adventure with a friend
Ginny asking her and Neville to reform the DA while Harry, Ron, and Hermione look for horcruxes
Neville:
Luna sleepily kissing him on the cheek while he organizes stuff for the DA and Ginny plans
Dumbledore awarding him points for standing up to Harry, Ron, and Hermione
His grandmother being proud of him for being accepted to Hogwarts
The moment he stands up to Voldemort and realizes he isn’t as scared as he used to be
‘Come on, Ginny’s not bad,’ said George fairly, sitting down next to Fred. ‘Actually, I dunno how she got so good, seeing how we never let her play with us.’ 'She’s been breaking into your broom shed in the garden since the age of six and taking each of your brooms out in turn when you weren’t looking,’ said Hermione from behind her tottering pile of Ancient Rune books. 'Oh,’ said George, looking mildly impressed. 'Well, that’d explain it.'
