So in this au vi was kidnapped and taken away by some people from another kingdom, on the way they got killed and baby vi fell all the way down and into hollownest with injuries but still alive, a uninfected beetle took them in and raised them for a while but when they started to get dreams of a certain moth they handed over the little bee to the hive, the hive took her in and raised her as there own and it was going well and she is a teenager but then Vespa died and so the hive fell away and vi had to abandon the home that she knew, she uses her knowledge of how to make and use spears and a boomerang like thing to make her way out if hollownest after seeing and realizing that she can't stay any longer, she uses her knowledge to make her way to bugaria where she ends up stumbling into the explorer place where you start the game, she can't really understand the language and no one understands her really, but she clings onto kabbu cause he reminds her of the beetle who took her in and so they get paried up, no one recognized her as the baby bee who was taken cause her time in hollownest changed her and she is just nearly unreasonable, anyways she and kabbu make there way into snakemouth den and she can't read or talk or even understand half of what anyone's saying so she has like no idea what the danger she's getting herself into, during the spider fight she doesn't run away and nearly dies and her wings are torn slightly and so for most of the story she can't fly and near the time you learn to carry kabbu is the time that her wings healed and the only reason she can't fly faster or farther is cause kabbu is heavy since bugaria people are well fed most of the time and also she hasn't used her wings in a while and she's still sore and outa practice slightly, by the end she has a better understanding of the language and can slightly read some words and can talk okayish and can understand people better, and after they defeat the wasp king, they talk about there lives as kids and stuff and vi decides to one day maybe bring them to whatever is left of hollownest, but only in the future, where no one will be left alone hopefully so there won't be any infection left.

More comic let's gooo! So disclaimer: If you're wondering why the art style changed midway through these pages, it's because I've gotten a new drawing tablet~! It has definitely helped to streamline the drawing process though, I will say.
(Also fun fact, pages 7-9 were the first pages I made. Yes, even before the prologue pages, lol)

Team Snakemouth enters the fray!
I promise this is not dead, lol. Just took me a while to get to this. Eventually I will give this comic a proper "cover" image, but for right now, I'm gonna move ahead with the comic itself. Hope y'all enjoy~!
Behold! The BUGGOS as traditional RPG classes! (That wasn't what it started out as, but by golly, that's what it finished as, lol)
Kabbu is a warrior, Vi is a rogue, and Leif is a spellcaster!
Some headcanons I thought of while doodling this:
Vi's secret stash is full of stolen goods (Or as she calls it, "unknowingly donated" goods).
In place of his horn, Kabbu fights with a spear, though he may occasionally headbutt using his horn.
Leif is blind and uses his magic to sense the world around him (think like Toph/earthbending).

As a random aside, every time I draw Leif my brothers call him Spiderman, and I stgif they do it again I'm gonna yeet them both out the window (ノ｀Д´)ノ彡┻━┻
Today is the official birthday of Kabbu, so some art of Team Snakemouth!
it all started with the fact that I thought "why not give Vi an extra pair of limbs?" and it ended with the fact that team snakemouth became significantly more dangerous

Using the naming convention Leif has, I thought it’ll be fun to give the other ‘moths’ we have names. Which is pretty much anagramming a word related to Life.
Zommoth’s name is Dleiv, an anagram of Lived. Since they used to live but now they don’t. Not only that, it sounds like something of Roach language duel to the strange arrangement of letters, so it fits with how Zommoth and the other cordyceps talk in Roach language or a Roach-like language.
Grandpa moth’s name on the other hand is Levier, an anagram of Relive.
I feel like whatever relation Grandpa has with Leif in terms of descendants, be it being Leif’s actual son or grandson or great-grandson or whatever, I feel like it’s possible one of Leif’s relatives would’ve named one of their children after him. To honor and remember him in a way.
Leiver has some inspiration from Leif, namely the “Lei-” but it sounds removed enough that anyone that would look at Levier won’t instantly be reminded of Leif, especially if they’re still grieving. And Levier won’t be conditioned to act like Leif duel to the resemblance of their name.
Their name may be inspired by Leif, but they are still their own person. And they will always be their own person. Regardless of it after all.
Plus, being an anagram of Relive is kind of a nudge of that hope in the family that Leif will be alive again in one way or another, or that Leif will relive again while Grandpa is alive. And Leif did, in a way.
