stayed up all night drawing the other day and made a drawing that ended up with the vibe I felt after doing it
also some chalk doodles I did on the 4th (I didn't get around to posting closer to making them lolol)
This is my most resent art piece that I actually managed to finish and I'm torn between giving it to my parents who want it and my sisters friend who wanted to buy it
Sharing this bc I need to rant about the absolute chaos the process of making this was
1st pic: sketch of the face. 2nd: finished version
Basically, our teacher realized we had to make sth for a gallery she forgot about and decided we would quickly draw coal figures inspired by / copying Käthe Kollwitzes artworks*
Since I'm rlyyy behind on our current big/main project, I had to rush this coal drawing in like an hour. (other students had 1-6 hours) and well.. Rushing a life sized coal drawing is def not a good idea wkdhkwej
EXCEPT. That's not we're the chaos stopped. Not only did i forget my coal eraser at home, but i also realized after making the sketch that this WASNT coal, it was chalk, which u can barely erase... (It was 7am alr, i was too tired to notice i was using a different black stick than usually-)
Usually when i use coal, i apply a bit much at first & then use my eraser to create value, but now that obviously wouldn't work... Not only that, but by the time i realized you couldn't erase this properly, i was already done with most of the sketch...
(* is bellow)
*kind of like a collage, but instead of cutting them out we drew life sized version with coal. We also arranged them differently than in her artworks & used figures from multiple of her artworks.
Ik that online, "copying" other artists tends to be a bit controversial, but most art schools use it a LOT, since it's a great way to learn from more experienced artist! ("why reinvent the wheel if someone else already did it for u already?") It's just for studying tho and we don't pretend it's our original artwork/idea or sth... That would just be plagiarism LMFAO
Actually i wanna rant about this more at some point bc i do not like how the whole tracing drama influenced the online art communities view on learning from other artists...
Blackboard drawings I did at school, adventure 2 edition :D
I made yet another drawing of Pyramid Steve! This time around, Mabel wanted to fill in the "negative space" around him. The lack of clear lines is due to us running out of black chalk.
Some really trashy chalk art I made with my sister yesterday because we were forced to go outside. Then it rained literally this morning so this nightmare fuel is probably d e a d now thank god.
Oh yea today is Cinco de Mayo and Xtale Undyne’s birthday (sorry muffet I lost will power). I did start some doodles for X!Undyne yesterday but I need to force myself to focus on school for a bit so I set up some queued posts
Xtale Alphys and Undyne belong to Jakei
Theres also some undernovela there but its shite so you dont get to see it zoomed in.

A fun chalk drawing of my favorite himbo minotaur
I made this chalk drawing of my favorite recurring characters the Sinclair's neighbor and family friend Monica Devertebrae; A Real Estate Agent Monica graduated first in her class and sold a house on her very first day on the job, she also is divorced after feeling her husband didn't live up to his end of their relationship.
While we're never shown these events but it certainly conveys someone whose driven and willing succeed on their own terms.
I've decided to make a short video of all my recent Chalk Art, It was a lot a of fun to put together almost as much as drawing them the first time.
The Flight of Freedom 7
Launched from Cape Canaveral 62 years ago today Astronaut Alan B. Shepard, Jr. became the first American in Space, during a fifteen minute suborbital flight aboard the Mercury Redstone 4 capsule Freedom 7. After a successful mission Shepard's capsule splashdown in the Atlantic Ocean and was recovered aboard a waiting Aircraft Carrier the USS Lake Champlain; Taking America's earliest steps in the Space Race which would eventually led to American Astronauts walking on the moon eight years later.
I decided to make this drawing of classic Volkswagen Type 1 or Beetle; This Little Car is known and beloved both far and wide for it's versatility preforming roles from a race car to a taxi. These Bugs can be found all over the world in almost every country, one maybe even in your own neck of the woods if you were to look.
Here's a drawing I did of Baby Sinclair from the tv sitcom Dinosaurs; This Prehistoric satire was way ahead of it's time and was brought to live by the Jim Henson Company use advanced puppetry techniques and sharp witty writing.
Tardis
I saw a chalkboard and a set of chalk laying around so decided to make two drawings; The First drawing is the favorite vehicle and home of choice for everyone's timelord The Doctor.
Here's my second drawing A Pot of Gold at the end of a chalk Rainbow; Since St. Patrick's Day is coming up I felt it would be very appropriate.
