Robin: I felt so terrified and powerless. I was sure I was going to die. I didn't know anyone was coming to save me.

Robin: I found a strength I didn't know I had.

Robin: But then... You came for me. YOU were first.

You took bullets for me even though you didn't know me because you KNEW what they were doing was wrong.

Robin:

That made me realize... You're the kind of guy who puts your all into everything you do.

That you were someone I could trust.

We cut back to the night on the sunny in person. Robin glances at Franky in the foreground who is very still. She takes a sip of her wine.

Robin: Besides all that though... I like how you have big emotions and show them.

You're sweet. And smart, most of the time.

Franky raises a cola bottle to his mouth as she says this. His hand shakes a little.

Robin: Plus you have a rockin' bod and a tight butt.

Franky spittakes.

Franky: Uh...
He looks at Robin who is smiling at him impishly.
Franky: Ah.
Robin: Heheheh.

Franky, clapping a hand over his eyes, beet red: Aww... There you go, making me feel all... Flustered and stuff.

Robin: Haha.
Franky: Geez Robin.
Robin: Sorry.
Franky: No you're not.
Robin: Nope.

Franky: Man, I had this whole thing I was gonna say...
I've been thinking about what you told me about how... You like me and stuff.

A shot of robin, whose eyes are suddenly wide.

Franky: It's not that I... Not that I don't... Dammit.

He pinches the bridge of his nose, eyes squeezed shut.

Robin: Don't what?

He looks up at her, trying to get the words out.

Franky:
I think I like you too.

Robin:... But...

Franky: I know what I said. In a way I guess it's still kinda true. I never did see you like that before. But I sort of tried, and...

Franky: Truth is, I think you're really somethin', Robin. I've always thought so, from the minute we first talked. I never imagined you might see me that way, not in a million years. I'm still tryin' to piece it together, to be honest.

It's like this; You're this INCREDIBLE woman, right? You're brilliant, gorgeous--

Franky: AND Se--
Franky hesitates.
Robin, smiling: You can say it.
Franky: SEXY.

Franky, rotating his wrist until it pops off, displaying the chain of his strong left: Me on the other hand... I'm not exactly what you'd call a normal guy.

Franky, popping back into place with a *chunk*: My old man raised me to be proud of everything I do. I can never go back so I gotta be. And I am proud truly, this is some of my best work.

But I wanna...
I YOU wanna DO anything about this...
I can't help but feel like you deserve someone real.

A beat of stillness.

Robin stares at the ground, considering this, before getting to her knees: Franky... I don't know how to say this, so I'll just say it.

She reaches into the next frame and grabs his face by the cheeks and looks up seriously into his eyes: I don't like you because of what you can DO for me. Or CAN'T do.

I like you because you're YOU.

Robin:
I like who you are, and HOW you are.
I like every version of you. You're the realest person I know.

Franky's chin wobbles as he starts to cry.

Franky: Heh... I think that's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me.

Robin, looking up at him adoringly: So... What now?

Franky extends the hand with the machine gun sight scope and takes her hand: Well... I'm not sure. But I know I want to see where this goes.

Robin: Then we go slow. Your speed.

Franky: I think I'd like that.

BONUS:
Franky and Robin are both getting to their feet. Their ancient 28+ year old joints creak and pop.

Franky: Man, I'm getting too old to be sittin' like that.

Robin: Me too.
