Australia delivers once again
Personally, I only really enjoyed their first album “In a Million Years”. Great band regardless. Check them out
These guys are amazing. Deserves so much more attention.
Look em up
The world has lost a hero, Eugene Cernan, the last man on the Moon. Commanded Apollo 17, drove the Moon buggy & collected critical lunar samples. Prior to Apollo 17 he was a Captain in the U.S. Navy, Piloted Gemini 9 and piloted the lunar module on the Apollo 10 mission. Post NASA Cernan conducted outreach to students to inspire a new generation of space explorers. This is how I want to remember hero and last man on the Moon Eugene Cernan:

While adorned in Christmas decorations Mission Control is working fast to instruct astronauts on an unexpected space walk. Year in space astronaut Scott Kelly and newly arrived Tim Kopra are performing an Extra Vehicular Activity (EVA) while first time astronaut Tim Peake is declared the commander of Space Station. Kelly and Kopra are assisting in moving the Mobile Transporter rail car a few inches to a worksite on the station’s truss where it can be latched in place. The rail car was stuck and needed to be moved so a Russian ships could be captured this week. In addition they are checking off items from previous EVA Honey Do list. From the perspective of someone who has developed astronaut training, this last minute EVA is extremely impressive! It takes months to develop an EVA's schedule, hours of training in the largest pool in the world with station mock ups - Neutral Buoyancy Lab, and development of hours of training videos. It takes a whole day just to get the suit on! My mentor said who ever pulled this space walk planning off is going to get a big award. WATCH LIVE NOW: www.ustream.tv/NASAHDTV

Potent minimalist art sends a strong message about police and vigilante brutality in America
Journalist and artist Shirin Barghi has created a gripping, thought-provoking series of graphics that not only examines racial prejudice in today’s America, but also captures the sense of humanity that often gets lost in news coverage. Titled “Last Words,” the graphics illustrate the last recorded words by Brown and other young black people — Trayvon Martin, Oscar Grant and others — who have been killed by police and vigilantes in recent years.

i'm making this post as just a literal dump of all my memories today so forgive me if its all over the place. this morning i was in a panic over my chemistry exam (which i definitely didn't get an A in but oh well) i showed my outfit to my friends (a cottagecore-inspired thing with puff sleeves and a small flower pattern, black tights - i was supposed to wear pumps but i forgot them smh) and i really found out who my real friends were. upon showing them ( O and L is what we'll call them ) for my irl friends on here it's very very obvious who they are. L, i found has a problem she won't say to me - i dont want to look back on this with bad memories so i won't go into detail. O is one of the greatest friends i've ever had. she makes me feel like myself which is the best thing a friend can do for you today i danced (like a stripper at some moments) in a party with my best friend, in a hall with a DJ in the booth, smoke machines and flashing lights with a cup of ice in my hand. (and maybe heartbreak number one was staring but i found i didn't care about him) Life feels like a movie. I went to town, i felt like i was having a real teenage experience for the first time on the last day of secondary school. today was a confidence boost. maybe i got looks from cuties too (but don't base your self worth on men - gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss) i felt pretty for the first time in such a long time, even with my skin breaking out. when i walked back to school to pick up my bag and the equipment, i didn't go to the blue balcony outside the art rooms like i've done every day for a year to reminisce and cry. i'm so tired of crying. i think today i reached some kind of self acceptance too, which is one of the best parts. The sky is so blue today. God, I Love Life. ~ Amimi
