current linocut stuff + wips
some small linocut prints :] golden metallic stag beetle and trachelophorus madagassus (relative of the giraffe necked weevil)
I'm so happy :)
Real talk how are y’all not breaking your necks doing linocut? I’ve been hunched over carving for like 2 hours (with a break in the middle) and my neck is killing me. My hand too, my finger’s so sore from gripping the carving tool I think it was starting to affect my precision, had to call it a night.
Causally making self-portraits while not being able to look in the mirror IS the life im living rn.
Love the hot pink base, at least yk your girl healed in someways if not in others.
I decided to post the Blue and Black & White version of this art piece
I really enjoy using this technique but on rare occasions since it uses up a lot of materials
Plus I need to leave the piece underneath a very heavy book for some period of time since I don't have a press haha
If you're interested these are the cut outs I carved out
On the left you have the main cut out and on the right the background. As you can tell I cut some corners when working on the background, you see nothing!
Removing colour from these takes some time but it's very relaxing haha
It's called the Linocut technique I believe
I will definitely post more of these. I just need to buy more linoleum haha
Have a wonderful day! ❤️
I don't really know how to post my lino prints and designs on here. Difficult to scan bigger than A4 format pieces. Maybe some well shot pictures ?
3rd Lino design of the year !
"Neptune's vase" design and lineart for this year's second lino print !
Made this while I'm waiting for linocut supplies to come in the mail. I love Jacob sheep, they are very gender to me.
💧we are all little houses, and it’s okay to cry 💧 (one of my favorite little linos I’ve made this year)
I need this but with tendonitis!
Tshirt idea I had
Got the chance to meet Zelda’s va (the lovely Patricia Summersett) and she’s literally the nicest person
Generation loss block print zine!! First pic reads left to right, top part first and then the bottom part :3
Another lino block print :)

November 2 - Stamping Posters
November 2/3 - Cards
Linocutter on linoleum, Ink on paper
Stamps I made during a stamp/printmaking event at makerspace.
We needed stamps for the AAM stamp rally, and this event was hosted at the perfect time for me to make mine for the rally.
Everyone got a ~2x2" piece of linoblock to carve, but the cards for the stamp rally had slots that were ~XxX", so I cut the linoblock into pieces.
I carved a little flower to fit my flower/cyclamen motif ❤️ and then I decided to make a little business card stamp
I printed with their actual fancy printmaking ink at the event to check that the carves were deep enough, but all the stuff afterwards was done with ink pads from michael's (they're honestly a lot easier to use, too)
My dumb ass never took good pictures of the actual stamps I made before moving 170km from them. I'll add pics once I visit home.

Inspired by John dies at the end. What David Wong, resident non-chinese protagonist, saw in the window of a Mcwongalds on a normal Tuesday morning.
Gr12 assignment where we could either choose this or a still life/realistic pencil drawing of a 'terrible beauty.' We got to choose between these two because there's just not enough time to do all of these assignments in a semester, and we've done still lives all 3 previous years. All the people who chose still life are cucks.
I don't have the linoblock anymore 😭😭. I forgot to steal it when I took all my artworks home and when I sent my friend to get it for me the next year they didn't have it ??!??!?!?! It must be in that art room somewhere rahh
Lining up the prints was soo hard. Especially for the last layer because there was so little material left on the block that it would really easily shift around. I was smart by picking this subject, though. Any extra red smears just add to the blood, and whenever they don't line up it just makes it more distorted and fucked up 💀😏
Paint on fancy paper
i’m online!
