Luke : dad! My face is on fire!
Lucius: Luke ! Are you ok?!
Luke : Oh yes, I'm fine. I just said that to make sure you'd come in here quickly.
Lucius : But your face is on fire.
Luke : Yes. It's much faster than shaving.
Here's a little idea I got for Bruce's boarding school days.
A lot of people have been asking for Bruce, Oliver, and Lex boarding school shenanigans in the media, so I'll entertain you lot with this small idea
(disclaimer: this is HEAVILY inspired by Black Butler's school arc as I recently just finished watching that season, I practically snatched their hierarchy and slapped it here)
Bruce came from a prestigious all boys boarding school, it thrived from its strict traditions, but other than that, it had a well knowns hierarchy. Because peasants weren't allowed to attend, juniors were given a role to be assigned to their own seniors to act as their Drudge, and Drudges do anything their assigned Senior tells them to do.
At the top of said hierarchy sat 4 seniors, the Prefect 4, also known as the P4. The P4 are Seniors hand picked by the Headmaster themselves to be in charge of the four dormitory Houses (the Red House, Green House, Blue House, and Purple House) and disciplinary actions.
And of course, if you realised where I'm going with this, Bruce, Oliver and Lex are one of those four chosen seniors. Idk about the 4th one tho, but one of my options are Lucius Fox. like Vincent Phantomhive from the anime Black Butler, due to loosing a bet, Lucius could be the 4th Prefect and be Bruce's Drudge at the same time, cherishing their relationship from school years and eventually staying by Bruce's side and follow Bruce into Wayne Enterprises.
Sure, he’s had an awareness of the boy’s existence for a while, but Lucius has an awareness of most things that happen in Gotham. That doesn’t mean that he needs to look into all of them.
Now Tim Drake is stood in Lucius’ office on slide thirty-two of a powerpoint on all the things Wayne Enterprises should be doing to improve their profit margins. Lucius takes a moment to regret not looking into Tim Drake.
How old is the boy? Ten? The suit makes him look adorable and tiny, the seriousness with which he discusses the company only heightens the effect. It all contrasts rather awfully with the hard logic coming out of the boys mouth and Lucius would consider putting his head in his hands if that wouldn’t mean missing some of the show.
His mind flashes to all of Tam’s pleas for a little brother and he wonders for a moment how much Jack and Janet Drake would miss their tiny genius.
“You’re not paying attention.” Tim snaps with a severity that he must have learned from Janet.
Lucius leans forward and makes sure he looks properly chastened because, really, he could have missed some good points.
“My apologies, please proceed.”
Tim gives a curt nod and launches into slide thirty-three.
