Ok y'all, can we talk about Omar's acting this season? Like he's always been amazing, but he got a meatier storyline this season that actually allowed him to show off the emotional bandwidth, and he KILLED it? The scenes where he cries to Linda/cries on the bus after the rock incident? Like my heart was ACHING, my maternal instincts were kicking in strong. The way he portrayed yearning and passion in all the intimate scenes? Simon's horrified face when watching Wille throw the presents? Simon's little face crying when breaking up with Wille? The way we saw Simon feel more and more alone? The way he slowly lost his relationship with music? The subtle ways we saw him lose himself throughout this season? Just give Omar all the awards and flowers. I am so grateful we got him as our Simon, I truly don't think anyone else could have played him with as much understanding and nuance. (and as much lovability)

I want to add: Omar plays *dissociation* super well. For example, during the "Netflix & chill" date Simon has at Marcus's creepy apartment (f'real, something about that has always been unsettling to me... of course TVmicroscope has great theories as to why, but I digress...). After Marcus refuses to be a hook-up rebound and insists on taking control of the date & controlling the film genre they'll watch, Omar's face immediately flashes to one of complete dissociation, and it's frightening how well & how fast he does that. Like instantly a mask takes over. I've always been so impressed with that.
There's at least one other scene like this as well, but I forget atm.
Omar played Simon's lack of interest in Marcus soooo well. He's barely even looking at Marcus half the time they're talking.
Even when he finally looks at Marcus here, he actually looks *past* him before actually focusing on his face
Compare to him focusing on Wille who's like a magnet for him....
To anyone who knows: Is there any chance Young Royals will get more international recognition with awards and things? Like are International Emmy awards for TV shows a thing? I want to see them really get proper accolades -- and yes I know winning awards isn't everything, but Lisa, Edvin, Omar, et al deserve it, damnit!

i had the funniest dream before my young royals season 3 marathon the other day. i was at a concert and it was an omar concert which is kinda odd cus i donât even really listen to his music much but the funniest part is he was just the opener.
the main act was usher.

This is something new for me as I am usually a phantom user but I like writing and people wanted a fic for with this as a prompt so here goes.

~ Time skip till after high school. ~
The peace and quiet of the morning was quickly disrupted by a high pitched, "Padre Dada I'm hungry, come on pleeeeaase can we have bacon and pancakes pleeeeaaaase?"
Simon groaned next to me as I chuckled, "sleep some more darling I'll make breakfast," a muffled thanks responded. While getting dressed a small hand tugs on my arm.
"Come on Dada,"
Laughing some more, "Ok ok Heli let's slow down though we don't want to fall now do we,"
"No Dada sorry," she hangs her head
"It's ok just be careful,"
"Can we please have bacon and pancakes Dada?"
"Yes sunshine," she smiles brightly looking so much like Erik. I start making breakfast and a coffee for Simon. When I feel arms wrap around my stomach and a head fall into my shoulder blades. "Morning darling your coffee's here" as he reaches for the iced coffee. "Sunshine can you get what you want on your pancakes and moonlight can you lay the table please?"
"Sure Dada," Hela responds much more tired than her twin sister.
As we all sit down and have breakfast Hela mentions that they should be doing art today and Heli just bounces up and down talking about everything she possibly can. When Simon wakes up a bit he starts talking with Heli and teasing her.
We stack all the plates to the side as we finish and get ready for school however the tickle wars have restarted between Simon and the twins so it takes three times longer that it usually does as everyone refuses to lose, we are so close to getting out of the door( and to being late).
"Come on kidos let's go," everyone gives me puppy eyes in return I'm not the bad guy here, "come on please we are almost late let's go," I give a quick nod of my head as Heli and Hela rush out the door, leaving Simon sat on the stair with a smile that could make you forget all your problems.
"I can take them," he says with a faux innocence about him.
"That's fine my love I'll take them," I kiss him goodbye," love you."
"Love you more," he challenges.
"Impossible," I chuckle as I walk out the door after the twins they get to school safely and the rest of that morning was spent watching TV and cuddles...truly a good morning.

so wille got to kiss simon dressed as an 18th century nobleman, he went to therapy , held a gun at his cousinâs head and destroyed the monarchy in front of a whole country. no oneâs doing it like him

I just saw Edvin and Omar opening gala... No wait... I just saw Wille and Simon Hillerska graduation? Or... No? Wait I don't know.
