i was not at all expecting to write this much about dean winchester from his POV, but he is unfortunately The Character of All Time to me, so. major L on my part. this is definitely one of my favorite chapters, though-- balancing his shitty humor and the absolute gut-wrenching tragedy that is his life was a fun little exercise LOL
