Oh well take my The Boiled One oc I've had for months now (click for better quality as always)

I've had Eden as an OC for MONTHS now and I'm finally comfortable enough sharing her.

The blindfold she wears is from a religious practice her and the church she lived in used to practice. Basically "if you stand and witness sin its basically as bad as committing it yourself. So just. Don't ever look at anything sinful."

So people just. Blindfolded themselves. To prevent the perception of sin.

"Freed by the manifestation" meaning a lot of the people who lived with her in the church (which was. More like a cult than your average Sunday school.) Fell victim to the broadcast. The sounds of holy trumpets made some people go "HOOLLLYYY SHIT ITS RAPTURE TIME BABY" and so they removed their blindfolds expecting to see God. No! They look to their tvs and eughh what is that.

Since a good chunk of people ended up with LiS and couldn't prevent Eden's escape (and those who were unaffected were busy carring for those who were) she was able to just. Fuck off.

Eden herself perceived the audio of the original broadcast, causing PHEN-228 to manifest and sort of follow her around. However, the fact she is still blinded keeps her from developing LiS as the image of PHEN-228's face can not "feed off her spine"

(This is why she still keeps the blindfold on, Despite no longer practicing the religion her old church used to.)

She thanks the manifestation of PHEN-228 for her freedom, and tells herself she's has to sort of "pay it back" for her freedom. So before the Ephrata Branch was able to destroy everything that had the original broadcast play on it, Eden was able to film it on a few tapes for distribution. She sells them now to kinda. "Help out its cause."

She's usually selling these things either labeled as lost kids' shows/movies or freaky films depending on who's she's selling to. You'd probably find her behind a Kroger.
