I’ve heard people calling those grey calico/tortoiseshell cats “dilute calico” but I haven’t seen that anywhere that goes in-depth on phenotype. Is it usually called something else? Or is there another thing I’m missing?

Thank you for your time and all the information you make available! It’s really neat :)

Dilute tortoiseshell is a common way to refer to blue tortoiseshell cats, which may also be called blue and cream.

Blue is the dilute of black and thus blue tortoiseshell is the dilute of black tortoiseshell - which is the traditional black and red tortoiseshell that probably comes to mind when you hear the word.

Gray isn’t a genetic term or used in the cat fancy but is a colloquial way for the layperson to refer to the color more accurately called blue.

Lilac is dilute of chocolate and fawn is dilute of cinnamon so these may be called “dilute tortoiseshell” as well in their tortoiseshell varieties but I don’t see this as often likely because nearly all cats with those colors are purebred and will be referred to using the proper terminology.

Calico is another colloquial term used to refer to tortoiseshell’s with a notable amount of white.

So gray tortoiseshell/calico and dilute tortoiseshell/calico are often used interchangeably.

literally nobody thinkz about this as much as i do but i cant stop thinking about how blakk had burpy first. the protector of the 99 cavernz is the one with the infurnus and blakk had him first. we are NOT doing enough with that. yes itz just a plot element to get burpy to the shanez or whatever but they did NOT have 2 include that blakk had him. he couldve gotten obtained another way. but no. it was blakk. thaddius blakk had the capacity to be a protector of the 99 cavernz and u can NOT convince me otherwise.

An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works

Hello everyone! So I kinda just wanted to talk about this book I have been reading for the past couple of days and I just wanted to say that I absolutely fell in love with it! I honestly don't even have the right words to describe how much I love it! Like the story and the lore is just so interesting, it's also interesting how they depict the lore and the story in the actual game that might or could happen later on in the future, even if it is just an Au they came up with. It also gives us some ideas as to why Red wanted people for his little experiment or whatever he is trying to do or accomplish. It's just so interesting how they picture everything. Oh! and before I forget the story is also on wattpad if anyone wants to read it on there instead. As much as I would like to talk more about it, It's hard to find the right words to even describe anything. I do highly recommend that you read it yourself, buuuuut I do have to say that the story does contain a lot of gore and other sensitive topics that may trigger some people so please be careful before you start reading(I know the book already gives you warnings n stuff but just wanted to give some people a heads up). Please support this person on their other social medias like tiktok, Instagram, etc. Anyways have a good day, night, or afternoon! Love you all!

Beautiful! I love it!

DPxDC Heritance

There's not much left for Tim in his parents' wills. Or, well, not much by his standards - the rest of the family, barring Bruce and Damian, think he is absolutely loaded and too full of himself to care. Which is maybe a little bit true; receiving about a dozen properties across the world, a trust fund and a wide collection of artifacts that his parents have accumulated through years of their archeological escapades is a lot by middle class standards.

But Tim knows how much money Drakes actually had, and a few old houses and an assembly of junk seems like not much in comparison.

In any case, it's all rather useless in Tim's position. He has no interest in traveling aside from when he has to for a mission, and he couldn't give less shits about archeology even if he tried. The trust fund is fine, he guesses, but it's not like he needs it, what with being the CEO of Wayne Enterprises and one of the Wayne Wards.

So, as morbid as it is, the best reaction he can muster at his inheritance is a shrug and a mention in his mile-long list of 'things I need to figure out when I have time'. Which basically means he'll maybe get to it when he's old and retired, and not any sooner, because Tim Drake the CEO and Red Robin the vigilante are both very, very busy people who never have time.

Naturally, his life has other plans, and it's only two or three months later that Tim finds himself breaking through the balcony window of his own apartment in Praha.

It's at that moment, when he's lying on top of a soft persian rug, surrounded by glass shards and wondering if this move was enough to lose his tail that he realizes his inheritance might be slightly more than just a few properties and some boxes with old things.

Because, through his own heavy breathing, he hears a thoughtful, slightly sarcastic voice from inside the room, "I guess the door was too hard to figure out for you, wasn't it."

He sits up, turning his head so sharply it almost snaps. His eyes immediately fall on a boy not much older than him, sitting with one leg thrown over the other on the dark red couch near the wall. He looks like he clearly belongs here: white, vintage collar shirt and black, high-waist trousers, a silver ring on his thumb that looks too old to have been bought in this century, dark raven hair and perfect porcelain skin.

And he is reading a newspaper. Like a slightly bleeding costumed guy in a domino mask breaking the window and falling onto the carpet is just another Tuesday.

Hold on, this is Tim's house! He double-checked the address, there's no mistake!

"Who are you?" He demands, frowning, as his hands reach to the birdarangs out of habit.

"Keeper of Doors," the boy answers, not looking up and flipping the page, "And you're the Drakes' heir, I assume."

Tim blinks. The response provides no actual answers, it only creates more questions. "What doors?" He asks because the rest of the points can most likely be addressed later. Like the issue of his busted secret identity, right.

The boy sighs and closes the newspaper, folding it in half and uncrossing his legs to sit a bit straighter. "Doors, capital 'D'. The ones that lead everywhere you want."

"The what?.." Tim repeats, dumbfounded and lost in this unexpected nonsense. The boy gives him a truly unimpressed look, his eyebrow twitching. Then, he stands up - Tim's fingers close around the birdarang again - and steps towards the nearest door, grabbing the handle. His feet make absolutely no sound.

"Drake manor," the boy announces and pushes the door open. He doesn't step through, however, instead just standing in the doorway and turning back to Tim, gesturing for him to look.

Tim does.

Seeing the familiar hall, the one he's seen so many times, the one he walked through every day before he moved out, makes him realize a few things at once. One, he needs to revise the list of houses he inherited since it looks like they are not just properties but a map of teleportation points, most likely. Two, his parents knew full well he didn't need the trust fund, it wasn't for him, it was probably for this boy, who may or may not be the, well, gatekeeper. Three, if the first part of his inheritance turned out to be this, he is going to need to call in Zatanna to sort through the collection of his parents' artifacts lest something turns out to be actually cursed in there.

Four, he's been staring at the boy and gaping like a fish for longer than its socially acceptable.

"...What's your name?" He asks, suddenly conscious about the fact he was kind of rude before. The boy snorts, a ghost of a smile on his lips as he closes the door back.

"Danny," he introduces and snaps his fingers. The glass shards around Tim move all at once, rising from the ground and going back towards the window, like a reversed video recording. A second later, the balcony window looks as good as new, not a crack in the glass. "And you?"

"Red Ro-" Tim starts, but then pauses. Fuck it, he might as well, "Tim."

Danny waves his hand in the air, like snatching something out of nowhere, and, just like that, there's a box that looks suspiciously like a first-aid kit in his hands.

"Nice to meet you, Tim. Now, get over here and stop ruining my carpet with your blood."

Okay so I like DnD and yesterday my buddy and I got started on a backrooms themed campaign (I was allowed/supposed to be alone for this part so the other party members weren't necessary) and apparently I just picked every option that noped me the fuck out of danger every time.

The DM was trying to get me to open a hole in the floor to open the void (or level -1) and I just. Didn't.

They described an almond water cooler a little too suspiciously for my taste, so I skipped it and came to a fork in the endless hallways, where I heard a baby crying on my left and a woman screaming on my right, so I just went back to the water cooler.

After having my drink I went back to the fork, where both annoying human(?) noises had stopped so I just looked around and saw a door that ended up leading to a ladder and went up that for apparently 15 minutes before seeing another door that lead to a water cooler again and had another drink of almond water.

I returned to the ladder which seemed to distress the DM so I figured I was doing the right thing in player terms.

I eventually got to Level 1 and was told there was a water fountain a mile away, which my usually mathematically inclined DM estimated that I could make it in 10 minutes if I ran. Mind you a specific description of my character boils down to a mechanic that's built like a pole. I said fuck it and did a dead sprint, and about halfway there I saw a Hound that luckily didn't notice me and I got my drink.

Yeah I did the usual player thing of doing whatever the hell the DM didn't plan for.

Then at almost 10 AM I message my DM:

Okay So I Like DnD And Yesterday My Buddy And I Got Started On A Backrooms Themed Campaign (I Was Allowed/supposed

So yeah, one of my first DnD sessions went pretty good.

Okay, okay, so TrekViz is super cool on its own, but what's even cooler? All the data is available as .csv files. Which means that it's easy to mess around with it and hunt for specific things and fun things like that. In particular, I noticed that it's really hard to tell a character's most common interactions if they don't have many interactions on the site, so a while later with some spreadsheets, and I have these. Since it's based on the data from TrekViz, the characters included are just whatever characters were included in that data, and total interactions only count from those with other characters in the data set. I didn't do the movies (at least not yet), even though that data's also there.

Actual stuff below cut because, as usual, data analysis across the series really adds up.

Starting with Enterprise, because it's the only one with no major character changes so was the simplest to start messing around with. It works that of all the interactions the character on the column had, __% was with the character on the column. So, of all the interactions Archer had, 31% were with T'Pol. And we can see that 47% of T'Pol's interactions with Archer.

Okay, Okay, So TrekViz Is Super Cool On Its Own, But What's Even Cooler? All The Data Is Available As

Unsurprisingly, almost everyone interacts mostly with Archer, with the only exceptions being Archer himself, and Malik from the Augment arc, who instead spent most of his time talking with Soong. Archer's main interaction was Tucker, and Tucker and T'Pol had significant interactions with each other. No surprises there. A noticeable interaction gap among the main cast is Travis and Phlox, who are each each other's least interacted with main cast member (aside from self).

Next is TOS, which I made three charts for, to show the main character change of Chekov, who came in in the second season A few minor characters also appear/disappear.

Season 1:

Okay, Okay, So TrekViz Is Super Cool On Its Own, But What's Even Cooler? All The Data Is Available As

Seasons 2 and 3:

Okay, Okay, So TrekViz Is Super Cool On Its Own, But What's Even Cooler? All The Data Is Available As

And overall:

Okay, Okay, So TrekViz Is Super Cool On Its Own, But What's Even Cooler? All The Data Is Available As

Once again, our captain is getting the majority of interactions, with the only exceptions being Chapel (who talks mostly to McCoy), Commander (I believe the Romulan Commander from "The Enterprise Incident", who talks to Spock), and Kirk himself (who talks to Spock mostly), none of which are surprising. Overall interactions with each other, by and large line up quite well with prominence of the respective characters (Kirk>Spock>McCoy>Scotty>etc.). One noticeable gap is apparently Sulu and Chapel never interacted.

I did also do season breakdowns to represent cast changes for TNG, but then got lazy and discontinued for DS9 and VOY and it adds up and this is already so long, so just an overall for TNG:

Okay, Okay, So TrekViz Is Super Cool On Its Own, But What's Even Cooler? All The Data Is Available As

Once again, captain's the main interaction for pretty much everyone, and is his own exception (his most common interaction is Data). The other exceptions are all secondary characters except for one: Alexander (his main interaction is Worf), Barclay (who mostly talks to La Forge), K'Ehleyr (also mostly interacts with Worf), Lwaxana (who spends most of her time bugging Troi), and, the one main cast member, La Forge (who mostly interacts with Data). La Forge is, in turn, Data's main interaction after Picard. By and large, Picard, Riker, and Data dominate the main characters' time, and then it's just kinda consistent low numbers after that.

Then we get DS9 overall:

Okay, Okay, So TrekViz Is Super Cool On Its Own, But What's Even Cooler? All The Data Is Available As

Sisko, as captain, is still the most common interaction for the majority of characters, but has a much less dominating presence compared to the other series. Major interaction spikes, more or less in order of significance, include Keiko and O'Brien, Zek and Quark, Rom and Quark, Martok and Worf, Jake and Sisko, Nog and Jake, and Damar and Weyoun. Unsurprising common interactions between main cast members (excusing any with Sisko since he is almost always the most or second most common interaction for them all) include Bashir and O'Brien, Worf and both of the Daxes, and Odo with Kira and Quark.

And to finish off, Voyager:

Okay, Okay, So TrekViz Is Super Cool On Its Own, But What's Even Cooler? All The Data Is Available As

Once again, captain dominates interactions. There's really not too much that's so surprising. There's a greater percentage of secondary characters that only show up occasionally to interact with a few characters, and Shannon O'Donnell from "11:59" who never interacted with any other characters. The main cast exceptions to Janeway being the main interaction are Janeway herself (who spent of her interactions with Chakotay), Kes (who mostly talked to the EMH), Paris (who just barely spent more of his time talking to Torres), and Torres (who interacted mostly with Paris).

I'm absolutely going to be doing more digging around with this and seeing what pops up, and probably do some series by series (if not character by character) analysis.

Hi Clown! I'm a huge fan and love the update

I'm curious, why did you decide to make Welcome Home horror? You've said that it's going to lean more towards psychological horror. It seems so unlike the stuff that you post, so I'm curious why you went that direction :)

Hi Clown! I'm A Huge Fan And Love The Update

Hello! I'm so happy you could visit this little home!

Welcome Home is a horror story because I wanted to use it as a vessel to explore the idea of being alive through both the mind and the body; my internal and external reality. Personally speaking, sentience is horror to me- my birth, my gamble, the hand dealt, my expectations, my death- among other things! I wanted to explore the feelings that come from these experiences, from the lived experience- The more I wrote and illustrated when I began writing for Welcome Home, the more inline it became with horror. So this house breathes, just like this body breathes- It's wallpaper peels, my teeth fall out- It groans like I do and it harbors mold too- It's hard to explain, but I hope this makes sense.

But it's a funny observation to make! I suppose this is a facet of me we are seeing, we all must have one. I want to try to stay optimistic online. It's like they say, keep writing positively, find joy in these small moments, take a walk away from this place and it can go a long way for you! I make necklaces with a drill and beads! We all have our joys!

TY SUGAR CUBE

what is moral orel (have never heard of it in my life LMAO)

I AM HERE TO HELP !! okay so basically this kid (Orel Puppington) lives in this Puritan/Super religious town. he’s always trying to be a good Christian and follow the Bible to the letter, but he ends up interpreting things in really messed up ways. every episode, he tries to do something good, but it backfires horribly and things get really dark (episode 1 is a rlly good example uh). the entire thing is a satirical commentary on how religion & the hypocrisy of it can affect people. the animation style makes it seem all cutesy but its really dark and gut wrenching. Orel is just a really gullible kid tbh. !!SPOILERS!!

for instance, his dad (Clay Puppington) is really abusive n stuff, and he teaches orel to not waste his money. this spirals into orel trying to help a poor person who ends up being a drug dealer and getting addicted to crack. also his mom (Bloberta Puppington) and dad don't love each other and its really sad watching them "try" to get a long.

I always thought Tyrian was The Scorpion who could control his nature.

Do you think Tyrian might try and make Mercury see things his way?

Hello anons!

These asks can be answered together!

To the first anon, ooooh, interesting take! Do you mind to elaborate?

Anyway, as for me, I do not think he can actually control his nature. Tbh... I would not be surprised if in the end his nature were to lead him to his death.

As for now, I would rather say that he is the Scorpion who has embraced his nature:

Tyrian: Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh. I want to tell you both a little secret. Your question is all wrong. "What do you want from this?" Children, please, if you're not loving what you're doing, then you're in the wrong field.

Tyrian: Do what makes you happy children... please? I'm begging you...

He does what makes him happy aka killing and hurting others. He has accepted who he is, so he does not really try to change or to become someone else.

I think this reading also fits with him foiling both Qrow and Mercury aka two characters who have trouble accepting who they are.

On one hand Qrow sees himself only as a bad omen. He thinks it is his own nature and misses how much he means for his loved ones.

On the other hand Mercury claims he is embracing his own nature:

Mercury: All my life, my father trained me to be a killer, an assassin like him. And then moments after I killed him, you two showed up looking for someone with my exact skills. Just felt like it was meant to be.

But he is actually negating his personhood:

Tyrian: All you ever learned was pain and violence, and now you're too afraid to leave it. Such a tragedy.

Which leads us to the second anon’s question.

Honestly it is too soon to say.

As for now, there has actually been an interesting dynamic between Tyrian and Mercury. To be more specific, Tyrian has actually said out loud things Mercury has been negating/repressing.

Mercury wants to see himself as a big bad man, but Tyrian strips him of this coping mechanism and states Mercury is just a victim and a scared child.

Mercury does not want to deal with the Salem destroying the world, but Tyrian appears and makes this truth impossible to escape.

At the same time, Tyrian’s body language in both occasions has been controlling and threathening. He tells Mercury the truth, but also traps him in fear more and more.

In short, their interactions are good because Tyrian’s body language negates the effect his words could have.

All in all, it seems to me as a jungian dynamic...Tyrian is acting as Mercury’s shadow in multiple ways. He is giving voice to truths Mercury deep down knows, but does not accept. At the same time, he is taking control of Mercury (he literally drags him away in War).

Until Mercury is trapped in his fear he will be Tyrian’s prisoner as well.

So, I do not know if Tyrian will consciously try to influence/groom Mercury. He seems more than anything having fun tormenting him tbh. However, it is possible Mercury will try to act more like him as a coping mechanism. After all, it is the same thing he has done with Marcus. Mercury deep down despises his father, but he is still doing what his father would have wanted him to do. At the same time, the juxtaposition with Tyrian might lead Mercury to finally accept he can’t be like him or his father, no matter how much he tries.

Anyway, it is too soon to say, there are many possibilities.

Thank you for the ask!

Who Are You?

who are you?

you’re 37.

you’re a marriage councillor.

you’re a divorcee.

quite the irony, isn’t it?

moving on…

what were you?

monday to friday, just like in any 9-5, you, my dear, took on the role of the all-knowing marriage councilor.

see, you were quite the talk of town; known for your great insight, marriage-saving advice, and whatever more descriptions people could come up with.

trust me, everything was going perfectly fine: you were on top of the world, and nothing could’ve knocked you down.

skip to: a rainy day, you were sat in your car, and all of a sudden there were blinding beams coming straight at you.

⚡️lights out⚡️

where were you?

you awoke in a bright white room, with the putrid scent of vomit hanging heavy in the air. any guesses yet?

*ding, ding, ding*

if you guessed a hospital, you are correct! if you didn’t – doesn’t matter, we’ll just pretend you did. good job.

long story short, a car rammed straight into yours. needles to say, the driver got away unscathed (as they tend to always do) and you, well you got off pretty well too – except for the concussion part.

where are you now?

right now, you’re stood in your humble bungalow – office set up in one of the few rooms, and well… you’re not exactly sure where to go next.

it seems like you’ve been granted the chance of a fresh start – ‘do-over’, if you will.

⚡️so, are you going to repeat the past or set out on a new path?

Who Are You?

customise your mc: gender, name, personality, appearance – you name it.

choose one of three new career paths OR stick to the status quo.

romance one of three love interests.

rewrite your life.

and so much more!

Who Are You?

‘the ex-wife/husband’ [f/m]

why did you divorce?

don’t look at me, I don’t know the ins and outs of your relationship and history. don’t worry though, it seems like they’re happy to fill in all the gaps for you – the news of your accident caused them to pack their bags, fly over, and check into a nearby hotel.

pretty clingy for someone you haven’t even exchanged two words with, in the last three years… absence makes the heart grow fonder, was it?

’the patient’ (but not really) [f/m]

and don’t even think about it! patients are off-limits, remember?

…even if the last time you saw them, roughly two years ago, their marriage was fine, and you parted ways amicably…. that would still be wrong, understood?

yadda yadda... they're no longer your patient, but think about the town. folks talk – you should know that better than anyone!

‘the bartender’ [f/m]

cliche, I know.. but even your highly praised self had a habit for the nightlife… mostly the wasting away at the bar, and ordering shot after shot bit. but let’s not get into that right now.

let’s just say: they’ve been a shoulder to lean on, whenever you unleashed the burdens accumulated during your working hours. honestly, marriage can be seriously depressing.

ACTUALLY I HAVE MORE TO SAY on that Planetina episode. (Warnings for Rick Sympathizers, I go hard against him in this, even if I love him)

I noticed people were saying that they felt like the writers were more lenient on Planetina because she was a woman, but I don't actually believe that was the case.

The episode is extremely creepy but the thing is, we are seeing it from Morty's perspective. We have spent most of the series seeing stuff from Rick's perspective. This episode was uniquely NOT from Rick's perspective in either plot. It was Morty's or it was Summer's.

Planetina's creepy relationship with Morty was absolutely meant to parallel Rick and Morty's creepy relationship. The episode literally starts with Morty rejecting Rick to be with Planetina-- and not only rejecting Rick, but casting off "immaturity" in order to be with someone he idolizes but also wants to be mature for.

Yes it was mentioned that in the Toxic episode, Morty was with two older women, but you need to think about what that says about Morty at this point. His ideal Healthy was someone who was seen as mature, who wanted to be looked up to, who had confidence. Morty thinks that being a scared kid is toxic and that his ideal healthiness will be a man who has confidence and is mature and will have a mature woman with him. He's literally a middle school boy, this is not abnormal for middle schoolers, and it definitely gets worse when their needs aren't met.

Morty spends the entirety of the Planetina episode falling for this woman he admires, idolizes and thinks it's love, and Planetina takes advantage of that, both by having aspects of the "born sexy yesterday" trope but also because she's really kind to Morty and always says yes to him-- but let's examine that trope for a second here. In this case, Planetina is an adult woman who behaves in a childish manner that is appealing to Morty and makes her seem cute and he wants to do anything for her.

Hm. Rick is literally an adult who behaves in a childish manner that allows him to get on well with teenagers and kids but not so much fellow adults. Rick can also make Morty do almost anything for him, except he's not kind. His kindness is conditional.

TO MY BAD FAITH READERS: STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM

I'm not saying here that anyone who is an adult that behaves childishly is automatically a predator. Rick and Planetina both are predatory towards Morty because they engage with him in highly inappropriate ways because he is a minor and they are adults. Boundaries are broken and reassured it's okay, there's a lot of "don't tell your parents about this" sometimes in actions and not words but Rick has LITERALLY said that out loud-- It's how you treat others that can make you predatory, and Planetina literally keeps encouraging this out of Morty, too.

In reality this episode is kind of an extension of the Toxic episode, because it shows that side of Morty that craves maturity because he can't connect to ANYONE around him, but also he wants so badly to be wanted, to be accepted, to be told he's good and perfect just the way he is. He wants to be loved so badly. So of course he latches onto the first woman who seems to be saying all those things to him because he HASN'T been taught how to avoid these creeps. And then when Beth finally starts stepping up as a mother for Morty, of course he sees this as betrayal-- because in his experience, his family has NEVER had his back. And the entire time, Jerry is playing a childish game where a little guy throws up everywhere LMAO Like, the writing and direction of this episode is so on point, it's Morty going "everyone around me is immature and they do not understand me and they don't want me to be happy" and Planetina takes advantage of that.

It really does not matter if she was genuine or not-- Morty is 14 and she is an adult who is going for the affections of a little boy HJSDFK LIKE. IF YOU FELT CREEPED OUT BY IT, IT'S BECAUSE IT'S CREEPY and it NEVER SHIED AWAY FROM IT. It just feels extra bad because we're getting it from Morty's perspective.

Morty finally puts his foot down when Planetina turns to outright murder--and she even tries to turn it around "You murdered my kids" EVEN THOUGH SHE BASICALLY TOLD HIM TO? She didn't use the words directly but she did tell Morty, KNOWING he was desperate for validation and love, that she was going to be taken away... Morty goes all out, arming himself to prevent that. As badass as this scene was, this entire episode really shows how middle schoolers (esp boys) are able to be groomed and radicalized by dangerous people they admire.

The original post said that the writers are lenient on women groomers but wouldn't act this way if it were men-- Morty likes girls, idk what to tell you. But also the EPISODE was from Morty's perspective. the Mr Jelly Bean episode was not-- it was horrifying but we were still generally from Rick's perspective. And as great as it was to see Rick kill that guy for trying to sexually assault Morty, Rick has not stepped up in a single way SINCE to help teach Morty how to protect himself, to safeguard himself from predators, etc. In fact, all he really aimed to do was make Morty more dependent on him.

I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS BUT I HAVE NO ISSUE SAYIN THIS SHIT CAUSE IT'S TRUE I'm glad Rick is trying NOW but the boundaries between them have long since eroded. Morty is used to being treated like this, and Rick is used to being able to get away with it.

That's why Evil Morty's finale was so poignant-- "I'm not evil, I'm just sick of him" Literally every single time Morty has pushed away from Rick, we get this perspective that Morty is bad and is being mean to Rick. HECK NO-- Morty is showing agency and trying to protect himself.

This episode is no different, he literally DOES break up with Planetina, and she (despite causing all of these situations and having the power in the relationship) blames Morty and acts like he did this to hurt her and leaves. And Morty wails openly into his mom's embrace, because Beth is there to comfort her son who is BROKEN over it.

And then these parallels are LITERALLY MET in the pre-finale episode where Rick is like I DONT NEED YOU MORTY I CAN REPLACE YOU WITH TWO CROWS--

The Planetina episode is MEANT to be watched with the finale episodes.

I don't think it's fair to blame the writers for something that they were really REALLY smart about writing in these episodes. To say that the writers didn't make it blatant is... frankly untrue... This show does not work as well when they have to look at the camera and go "THING BAD" because the entire show has had Rick grooming Morty into becoming exactly like him and that ends up being more acceptable to a lot of people because a lot of people are biased towards Rick.

And I understand the pull! I love Rick Sanchez! He's very relatable! But he's also quite literally a "do not be me" type of warning character LMAO He's a cautionary tale, at all times.

This show is entertainment first, it's not meant to be watched as education, its primary focus is to tell stories. If you learn something from it, GREAT! But the most bad faith interpretations because you're uncomfortable about how something is shown isn't actually conducive to anyone's learning.

Next time you feel uncomfortable while watching Rick and Morty, ask yourself why, and be prepared that those feelings of discomfort MAY BE MIRRORED IN ASPECTS OF RICK AND HIS GRANDSON'S PORTRAYAL. This is how I learned to stop believing anything Rick had to say about Jerry, because it's usually projection.

In a sea of constant change, does a ship remain true, when every plank replaced, and every sail anew?

[DEMO TBA]

In A Sea Of Constant Change, Does A Ship Remain True, When Every Plank Replaced, And Every Sail Anew?

we all know the ship of theseus' dilemma. Is it the same ship?

is it not the same ship?

what you know is that it's yours.

every morning after a full moon, you wake to witness a part of it replaced.

you're the captain of this cursed ship, you and your crew bound to it like day and night are to each other. despite the curse, you've known a life full of adventure and travels, exploring and seizing the waters. all this, you know.

until you don't.

this morning, no member of your crew can find the object that's been replaced.

what happens when for the first time since this curse has been set, not an object has been replaced, but a person–or a part of them– has?

you wake in a captain's cabin. are you the same captain?

are you not the same captain?

you know nothing.

Jupiter and the Law of Attraction

Perhaps it’s not a coincidence that Jupiter being in someone’s 1st house or having Jupiter rule their rising is sometimes described to be a placement that can “bring luck wherever the individual goes”.

Let’s look at Sagittarius and Pisces (Jupiterian beings) separately to evaluate this.

Sagittarius is often pinpointed as an optimist. The Law of Attraction states that you attract what you think. Therefore, an optimistic Sagittarius will only attract good things to their life, appearing “lucky” to the outside world. In addition, many great philosophers (Philosophy is a Jupiterian subject) followed this law and believed in it.

Pisces, on the other hand, attracts fortune through fantasy. A Sagittarius will simply expect or hope for the best while a Pisces will fantasize about what they wish would happen/be happening. This channel of thought enforces the Law of Attraction and gives a Piscean what they desire. This ease of manifestation is also why Pisces may easily bring their own self-undoing. Pisceans are known to soak up emotions that are around them. Once this gets into their head and messes up their thoughts, then undesirable events happen; this chain of events falls within the Law of Attraction.

Of course, at the end of the day, Pisceans are still under the care of Neptune: a guide who will release Pisces to the clouds without a tie to bring them back to reality. This could be the difference in how Pisces and Sagittarius experience luck. Sagittarius is very grounded and eager to learn as well as initiate action while Pisces is busy dancing in the clouds.
