I painted Roz and her son Brightbill from “The Wild Robot” which is one of my comfort movies now. I watched it for the first time a few weeks ago once it became available on streaming. I saw the trailer while the movie was in the theatres and knew “yes I will love this” because I adore movies about robots learning to feel and it looked awesome. It was, the animation is beautiful and the story is very heart touching and I probably cried three times?? I love it so much. I’m adopting Roz as my daughter just like I’ve adopted Wall-e as my son.
So I had to make some kind of fanart and I really wanted something Wild Robot themed in my room so I made a painting.
Guess who went to see The Wild Robot over the weekend and sobbed the entire time :D
Anyway it’s my current hyperfixation so enjoy a funny thing™️ of Roz and Fink! 🫶
Fink: How did you break your leg?
Roz, pointing at the lake: Do you see those stones?
Fink: Yes
Roz: I didn’t

I didn't look at my mother throughout the entire performance... I think the fact that she and the robot are single mothers raising children with a problem, I think she didn't notice that I noticed her crying I was also crying watching the sacrifice she has made for me and I loved watching the movie, the soundtrack is beautiful, the movie itself is beautiful, thank you Dreamworks for such a great work.
The soundtrack ripping my soul right out of my body didn’t help either
Thank you @auteurdelabre for our beautiful coloring book! I'm making slow progress on my health journey, but the holidays were the hardest. This movie was so nurturing, and empowering during this difficult season. I could listen to Papi Pascal all day :) Thanks for indulging my inner child...
Sometimes, to survive, you must become more than you were programmed to be. When you grow up without something you… end up spending a lot of time thinking about it. No one has the programming for motherhood. We just make it up. Funny how life works. Death’s proximity makes life burn a little brighter. If you forgot to say something before you left, they may have heard it anyway. Sometimes hearts have their own conversations. Eating the task is not the same as completing the task. Most of you hate me and I hate most of you. Everyone in here hates someone else. But here we are and here's the deal: the first one that walks out that door is dead and if we can't keep it together in here, everyone's dead. We all got one chance to see next spring, because of her. The 'thing', the 'monster'. And while you all ran from her and stole from her and made fun of her all she's been trying to do is raise her kid. She's the one who got you out of the storm, built this place, and despite my suggestion that she let you all freeze, she risked everything to bring you here. I'm a fox, I do foxy things. It's in my nature!
Holidays were rough, but this guy kept me company!
*thanks soul sparklettes art for the cute scrapbook background!
OMG!!
Me looking at the 300+ of y’all who have seen this
where the flip did y’all come from?
“WELL WHO CARES?! These are mah people!”
But seriously y’all, part 2
I love this movie so much that I kidnapped my parents (both of which regularly make fun of and are often dissatisfied with my choices of animated media) and sat their little butts down and forced them to watched it.
I’m happy to report that my mom cried and my dad said it was cute.
If you needed another sign to watch this movie
Please take this humble homemade meme of my nephew representing my love for this movie
My Response After Watching it
