uhh your child listens to achilles come down on repeat while romanticising the beautiful tragedy of death. 

i’ll never be normal about the fact that gang of youths wrote a song titled achilles come down and added spoken lines from albert camus’ the myth of sisyphus about rage, grief and hopelessness that perfectly apply to achilles’ story. how dare they?

Today I bring you some sheet music! I usually just put the link to these in the descriptions of my videos, but YouTube is getting worse and worse these days, so I figured I'd share them here as well, should someone look for something similar:

can you blame the hesitant achilles or the indecisive virtue of existing alive? but the blasphemy of dragging your unrequited soul into the realism of today is disastrous, but then achilles up there , saw right through the some other man’s belief and brought his eerie soul down. hope is horrendous in comparative to your self sabotage ,but yet love and compassion are paradox to one’s existence.

Achilles Come Down

“I can’t stand seeing you tear yourself apart like this.” He pleaded, eyes filled with months worth of sadness, anger , confusion.

“Then don’t watch. Simple.” The other boy spoke softly, but firmly, determined on pushing everyone who cared about him, away.

“You may feel no purpose , nor a point for existence, it’s all just conjecture and gloom. There may not be meaning , so find one and seize it.” Patroclus begged , with all that was left of him, with all the love that’s grown only stronger, since the day they’ve met.

“I’m doing this. I’m gonna jump. You can’t stop me.” Achilles couldn’t bring himself to sound composed. Yelling in desperation, he prayed to the Gods that he’d drop it and go home.

“So jump, and i’m jumping.” Giving up, he took a step forward as if his other half were a ticking bomb, which in a way, he was.

“Why?” At the edge of the roof, he was in utter turmoil.

“... because there is no me without you.” Patroclus confessed.

How to deal with “I had the shiniest wheels now they’re rusting” syndrome

In the song, ”Achilles Come Down.,” there’s a verse that says

“You crave the applause yet hate the attention.”

And this resonated with me so deeply but I didn’t really get the meaning. But then,

I hate attention but I love validation.

which I feel so many people can relate.
