Decided I felt like sharing some of my senior year art assignments. These are all over a year old but I still think they’re pretty neato.
Pt. 2
Pt. 1 of a comic I made for school :)

Okay so I’ve been sleeping on posting on my other accounts lol. Here’s an assignment for my college class. I enjoyed making it!
The Ink Demon murdered my mechanical pencil.
Cuphead and Mugman doodle for funsies!
drawing i made for an art assignment!! u should probs zoom in if u want to actually see the character in the middle lol.
Some original work from a story I’m working on. I’ll probably be drawing these OCs a lot in the future. I did this painting for an assignment and tried so many new techniques with it. Watercolor is… interesting…

This was supposed to be a themed trilogy, but I, like always, did not really have a theme in mind. I was kind of going for 'where art and technology/science meet' but it was really shoehorned. This was going to be a beautiful piece symbolizing medicine w elements of the staff of asclepius w the snake and her arm.
Making this was really, really annoying. I hadn't done a multi canvas piece since the cardinal (which was five years prior) so the idea was I go all out for this one (bad idea, never got finished). I did really like the style and the overall composition of the piece, but there's a 0.00001% chance I ever go back to this because of how big of a task it'd be.
First of all, making the wooden frame just to hold the canvases in the right position was terrible. I made the spacing smaller because I didn't want to lose details, but because it was so thin it broke 24/7. Don't even talk to me about the nailing/gluing process.... horrible.
Painting it was also a feat, because it took up so much space and I had to dance around the pieces constantly.
I got it to a place where it was finished enough, and then I was done with it.
(also I changed the position of the legs in the painting to make it more anatomically correct, but it ruined the silhouette)
The canvases still exist in my house, but the frame is long gone.

Final project for gr11 art that I did finish, but never submitted because they did a goofy thing where our summatives couldn't lower our marks.
Uhhh, ig I don't have any pictures of the finished project? It was a whole illusion thing of a hallway. I wasn't too happy with it when I first did it, but it's a solid idea. Prolly gonna revisit the illusion in the future, not sure if I'd take a stab at making this exact scene again.

Still life assignment done when school was half online-half offline. I remember my friend (who just took art to get the required arts credit) put vaseline over his camera so the teacher wouldn't be able to see that he hadn't done any work on his 💀
Had fun making this, didn't take too too long (relative to my other still lifes)

I hated this assignment when I first did it, but I'm glad I did it. Got some good pictures out of it.
Gr10 photo assignment. Every picture was supposed to utilise a different photography element/technique but I don't remember what they were.
The last photo is from a different assignment where he took us to the forest near our school and we had to make art w the stuff in the forest. My group did some glowing nest thingy. - Oct 9, 2020

Wait this was supposed to be the first post??? I didn't get around to cleaning it up until ~3 weeks after I'd queued up all of the tumblr posts 😭
Ig I'll see how making the post date in the past works >:)
Anyways what I can remember of the prompt was that we were supposed to make masks that represent a specific emotion. We were in pairs and I did it with my friend.
Making it out of wood was not a requirement, but I'd gotten it in my head and I knew my dad wld be able to cut the wood for me 😋I made a paper mockup, and then my dad took care of cutting and gluing together the pieces. Two masks were made, one for my friend and one for me.
iirc, the emotion I was going for was happiness, but it really doesn't read that way. There used to be paper fluff stuff hanging from the back, but the birds ate that stuff up. They also bit a whole bunch of chunks into it 😭
I don't remember what happened for it to break that badly. Prolly fell
