As you may know the Data Bill is currently going through UK parliament, and Conservative amendment would force agencies to record sex/gender as birth sex only. As if this doesn't go far enough to humiliate and discriminate against trans and intersex people, this amendment would also require all state agencies (DVLA, Passport Office, etc) to revert and purge all sex data that doesn't correspond to sex at birth within 12 months. This would mean that trans people with corrected documents could see these being voided and replaced, leaving them open to being outed, discriminated against, and in many cases, putting their lives at risk. T*rf organisations like S*x Matters have already mobilised and are encouraging their flying monkeys...I mean supporters to email their MPs about this bill. While it is unlikely that it will go through (Nadia Whittome received assurances that it will be voted down by the government), the support it receives has a high chance of encouraging Labour to put a similar amendment through in the future. We need to show that we stand together as a community against this. It's probably safe to say that almost everyone here knows and loves a trans and/or intersex person, or in fact is a trans and/or intersex person. Rights are at risk. We can't just say we love and support our trans siblings, we need to take action. Write to your MP and tell them why this bill is wrong and that trans people MUST be protected and supported.
Please do not be rude to your MP or send them verbal abuse (even if it's tempting). This is not the time for that. Use clear, polite and firm language to make your point. As a community, we must be mindful of how we approach this, as lives are at stake. While you are writing about this issue, please also consider mentioning the detrimental effect the Supreme Court ruling has had. Many trans people find themselves banned from public bathrooms all together as organisations struggle to meet the unrealistic aims of the EHRC. On the 6th of May 1933, the Nazis looted the Institute of Sexology. Do not let them do this in 2025.

به گزارش دیدار امروز،فیلم بلند «تاکسی ران» اولین ساخته افشین عامریان و به تهیه کنندگی پویا پور معانی که در سال گذشته به صورت آنلاین اکران شده بود، توسط شرکت آسیایی Mountain River Film برای نمایش بین المللی با عنوان جدید LEFT BEHIND به مدت ۳ ماه پخش در قاره آفریقا و چند کشور آسیایی در غالب VOD پخش شده و در ادامه در سایر کشورها هم به صورت VOD پخش گسترده تر خواهد شد که در حال حاضر توسط شرکت FillMDooLTD مراحل در حال انجام است.

July 15, 2024 - Palestine Action activists infiltrated the factory of the company Hydrafeed in Milton Keynes, UK, which supplies machinery to Israeli weapons firm Elbit Systems. They used a rope ladder from the roof of Hydrafeed's factory to break into the building, where dozens of activists smashed machines and equipment, before leaving undetected.
Hydrafeed’s machinery is used to produce arms by Elbit’s Instro Precision factory, which has had over 80 separate licenses to export weapons to Israel since 2016.
Through direct action, the activists have prevented Hydrafeed’s ability to provide Elbit Systems with a “rapid response for breakdowns, repairs, spares and replacement parts,” effectively disrupting the supply of machines used to arm Israel’s war of extermination against Gaza.
A Palestine Action spokesperson said: “Anyone who remains a partner of the Israeli weapons maker has done a serious moral and financial miscalculation as Palestine Action will break every link of Elbit’s supply chain, which involves targeting Elbit’s suppliers and of course, shutting Elbit down. We will not allow any institution to continue facilitating the bloody massacres of the Palestinian people.” [link]

🇵🇸How to Phone Bank for Relief in Palestine (USA)🇵🇸
If you live in the United States, you can and should call your US House Representative in favor of the Ceasefire Now resolution.
The following language is adapted from https://ceasefiretoday .com
Phone Script:
"Hello, my name is ____.
"I live at ____ [your street address].
"My phone number is ____.
"My email address is ____.
"I'm calling to ask that the Representative add their name to the Ceasefire Now resolution led by representatives Cori Bush and Rashida Tlaib. [pronounced "tuh-leeb"]
"It is absolutely urgent that the Representative demand a ceasefire, and that they call on Israel to allow humanitarian assistance into Gaza."

If you call your US representative, you will speak to a staffer or an intern, not the representative themself.
The staffer or intern will take down your information (this is to make sure you are a constituent, meaning you live in that representative’s district. You should only call your own representative. If you don’t know who your representative is, you can visit https://www.house .gov/representatives/find-your-representative)
You only need to say is what’s in the script above. You don’t need to add to or alter the script if you don’t want to. You don’t need to convince the staffer to agree with you, and they won’t give you their opinion, because they aren’t allowed to. Be kind to them.
The actual words you use don’t matter, just the basic meaning of them. Be brief. It’s okay if you fumble or stutter.
What will happen once you hang up is that the staffer will mark down that a constituent called in favor of Ceasefire Now in Gaza and in favor of humanitarian aid.
At the end of the work day, the staffer will send a note to the representative saying how may constituents called in favor of ceasefire and aid, and how many (if any) called for additional aid to Israeli military operations. The representative uses this quantitative information to determine how much their constituents care about the issue, and what their constituents are advocating for.
Your representative will never hear your exact words. That’s ok. Calling is still an incredibly powerful action when done in mass. A representative who receives many calls advocating for a specific action is much more likely to take that action.
You can call at night or outside of working hours. That’s ok. What will happen is you will go to voicemail. The staffer will take down your information and opinion the following day (there is typically one staffer on call over the weekend who will do this).
If you leave a voicemail, make sure you leave any information about you that the voicemail message asks for. This is often your name, address, phone number, and email. This information is used to confirm that you live in the representative’s district, and so that the staffer or the representative can reply to you if need be.
Calling isn’t as scary as it sounds. It is a valuable action and a brave thing to do. Representatives take calls very seriously, and you can have a big impact by calling.
Ask your local friends and neighbors to phone bank with you. Phone banking is when many people call their representatives about the same issue. Phone banking is a very powerful action.
If you don’t want to call, you can always email, fax, or even mail a letter to your representative.
