ES || Hace un tiempo descubrí las palomas frutales… y me enamoré al instante de estos seres tan hermosos y coloridos que hay en el mundo. No sabia que habían pájaros con tantos colores ni con tantas combinaciones diferentes… Son increíbles!! Aunque no tengo la costumbre de tener un cuaderno de bocetos, cuando los descubrí, no pude resistirme a hacer pequeños bocetos rápidos y intentar plasmar sus colores brillantes y caras monísimas! ¡Estas criaturas son increíblemente hermosas! Ojalá algún día en lugar de verlos en imágenes pueda verlos en su hábitat natural. Mientras tanto, los seguiré investigando y dibujando en mis tiempos libres. 💚 EN || Some time ago I discovered fruit doves and I went down to a rabbit hole searching all the beautiful and colorful fruit doves there are in the world. There’re so many of them!!! Although I'm not in the habit of having a sketchbook I couldn't resist doing quick small sketches and drawing their bright colors and cute faces!! These creatures are so incredibly beautiful! I wish some day instead of seeing them in pictures I can see them on their natural habitat. 💚

ESP || Algo en lo que estoy trabajando... Una ilustración de dos pájaros botánicos rodeados por una explosión de flores!
ESP || El otro día fui a ver un nido de cigüeñas, son unos pájaros tan preciosos y elegantes! En esta “nueva normalidad” me calma muchísimo ver los animales seguir con su vida, volar libres, cuidar de los suyos Las cigüeñas habitan en el norte de África, Europa y algunas regiones de Asia central y oriental. Aunque siempre han sido una especie migratoria, se ha incrementado notablemente el número de aves sedentarias y muchas de las aves que aún migran han acortado las distancias alimentándose principalmente en vertederos y arrozales. Durante años la población de esta hermosa especie ha fluctuado bastante; algunas de sus amenazas más importantes son: episodios de sequia, perdidas de hábitats de alimentación, transformaciones agrarias, uso de pesticidas generalizado, caza ilegal, choques contra tendidos eléctricos, eliminación de nidos… Detalle de la ilustración “viajar leyendo” repleta de flores de todos colores, como el edelweiss, blanca como la nieve donde vive. ENG || The other day I went to see a stork nest, they’re such beautiful animals! In this "new normality" it calms me to see the animals go on with their lives, taking care of their own. Storks are a bird that lives in North Africa, Europe and some regions of Central and East Asia. Although they’ve always been a migratory species, the number of sedentary birds has increased significantly, and many of the birds that still migrate have shortened their distances significantly feeding mainly on dumps and rice fields. For years the population of this species has fluctuated quite a bit; some of its most important threats are: drought episodes, loss of feeding habitats, agrarian transformations, widespread use of pesticides, illegal hunting, collisions with power lines, the elimination of nests... ENG || One of the things I miss the most these days is nature. Although I’ve my little plants on the balcony, they pale in comparison to the green fields full of flowers and bees. I’ve to admit that, every day, one of the moments that make me smile is when I see a neighbor's cat sharing a hobby with me: observe the birds while they eat medlars of a street’s tree. What a pity that this past week they have finished them all! Now I’ll only be able to read about them, draw and dream them ... ESP || Una de las cosas que más echo de menos estos días es la naturaleza. Aunque tengo mis plantitas en la terraza, estas palidecen en comparación con los campos verdes llenos de flores y abejas. Tengo que reconocer que, cada día ,uno de los momentos que me sacan una sonrisa es cuando veo al gato de unos vecinos compartiendo una afición conmigo: observar los pájaros que se comen los nísperos de un árbol de la calle. Que lástima que esta pasada semana se los hayan terminado absolutamente todos! Ahora solo me quedará leer sobre ellos, dibujarlos y soñarlos... CAT || Una de les coses que més trobo a faltar aquests dies és la natura. Tot i que tinc les meves plantetes a la terrassa, aquestes no són res en comparació amb els camps verds plens de flors i abelles. He de reconèixer que, cada dia, un dels moments que em treuen un somriure és quan veig el gat d'uns veïns compartint una afició amb mi: observar els ocells que es mengen les nespres d'un arbre del carrer. Quina llàstima que aquesta setmana passada se'ls hagin acabat absolutament tots! Ara només em queda llegir sobre ells, dibuixar-los i somiar-los ...
